AboutParamount to this community's intent is the discussion of Irish history and the literature arising during its course (though, preferably as a supplement to historical analysis). Hopefully this will become an enlightening forum with a diverse group offering a variety of insights and opinions.
Again, this community's purpose is for the discussion of Irish History and the impact history has on the present. Sometimes this history may shock, offend, or cause debate. That is okay. What is not okay is the posting of blatant propaganda without intent to spark a scholarly (or at the very least interesting) debate -- which is evident when only that propaganda is posted without any attempt on the poster's behalf at civilised discussion. I'm sure there are a plethora of communities that allow their members to post whatever they damn well please without taking a moment to intellectually evaluate their words, messages, or material. This community is not one of them.
Another super fun activity that is prohibited is the making of icon posts. Trust me, nobody thinks your picture of a rainbow over a cliff with the text "Ireland" is totally awesome. If your icons have something to do with history, that could be another story. However, I must reiterate: this is a discussion forum, not a graphics forum.
