loon in the park
There's a red-throated loon in the park right now. We were alerted by someone who saw us looking at the water, and had seen a mention somewhere on the web. I went back with a camera, and got some photos. There's a post in my journal, for any interested birders.
We saw it at the north end of the park (walk in at 218th Street and Indian Road), but it may be elsewhere in the area, or have suddenly remembered that it's supposed to be well north of here in June.
