AboutStories first started when humanity started to explore their world and see what was out there. It used to be that the popular belief was that the world was flat and that a reckless ship could fall off the edge of the world. And now the saying is that the sky’s the limit. But no matter what time in history it is, the stories will always exist. The types of stories and the way they’re told constantly change, as do the methods that explorers use to learn about the mysteries of the world and the worlds beyond. But at the heart of it all, it’s all the same. Stories exist to instill a sense of wonder and excitement and adventure into a person. And the stories come from what becomes of people’s lives, becoming a ship made up of memories and dreams. This is a multi-universe RP that seems to take place on a pirate ship, but not on any normal kind of pirate ship. For what pirate ship ever mentioned seems to have an endless amount of space and can travel not only different seas, but different worlds as well? The passengers seem to remember coming on-board by their own free will, but at the same time, no one can remember actually agreeing to come aboard. And it’s soon discovered that once on the ship, it’s almost impossible to leave. The captain and first mate seem to be the only beings that know what the ship’s destination is, but they are as allusive as the wind. They aren’t seen steering from the wheel, nor manning the ship. Instead, it’s the faceless servants that tend to all manners and like on the ship. From cooking, to the sails, to store management, everything is taken care of by the faceless servants. There orders are a mystery to anyone else but themselves and they can be commanded to serve any needs necessary, but they are subject to the control of the higher command. The ship itself seems to be bound by no known laws and rules by man or nature. How else could a person explain the fact that a single floor is capable of rooming countless number of people? How else could it be explained how right below this floor, the walls change and stores stretch as far as the eye can see. Stores that sell everything from time to jellybeans, from shoes and socks, to the most elegant dress ever made. Underneath that level of stores was a level that could cater to even the most fickle of palettes or to the most gluttonous. |
✗ Basic of most basic rule of all: Be courteous to the other players. If you have a problem with another player, please keep it off the community and contact a mod if need be to solve the problem. We want this to be fun and enjoyable all around, not stressful and strained. Basically, this RP does not run on OOC!drama ✗ DO NOT GODMODE. Do not take an action that would directly affect another person's character if this is not okay with them. If you don't know if it is? Ask them. ✗ No more than four characters. This is to keep things under control and to promote character activity and player interaction. Too many cooks spoil the broth thing. ✗ Keep logs behind a cut & to be posted over at ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} invoke_logs. This is more to keep things under control and so you don’t have to abuse your scrolling controller. ✗ If you are going to be away for an extended period of time (more than a week), please post a notice on invoke_parley so we don't accidentally punish and/or remove you from the game. The same goes for if your character will not be posting for some reason or another (family problems, etc)✗ You must post at least once every 3 weeks, per character. Failure to do so will get your character punished (the mods will come up with a different punishment each time/add on to a previous one). Failure to post after punshiment will get you another post and a warning. If we don't see a responce you will be removed from the game. After this, you will have one week to argue for your character (meaning give us a good reason why we should let you keep him/her besides 'I forgot' or 'I got lazy'). If you lose your character, that character is considered up for application and you may apply again after a time set by the mods. ✗ Do not drop a character without notifying a moderator. Or at the very least, posting about it on invoke_parley. Do not just not post for them.✗ Last but not least, this RP is het/yaoi/yuri/what have you friendly. So keep that in mind before joining. The break down of the ship’s layout is; ✗ Fo’o’sle/Capstan; It’s wide-open grassland that stretches outwards and with a beautiful sky to match. A person can wander for hours and hours, but they can always come back to the rest of the ship through the gateway. ✗ Main Deck; All seems normal and ordinary enough. Just like how a ship should look; but as soon as you look upwards, there’s a very blatant reminder of what kind of ship you’re on. ✗ 1st level (Decks 1&2); Lounges. A gym. Pools. Clubs for both the young and the mature. A theater. An arcade. A casino. This is the entertainment level, filled with things to waste your time away doing whatever... ✗ 2nd level (Decks 3, 4 & 5); Rooms, rooms, and more rooms. Pick a room to stay in and claim it as your own. Take the stairs or elevators to get to and fro, but be careful not to get trapped, or that will end up being your room for the night. Pick up a room {here}. ✗ 3rd level (Deck 6); Pies, cakes, meat, bread, green eggs and ham… There’s enough food here to feed a small country of even the pickiest pallets. There's even some fine dinning. Feel free to open your own~ There's nothing better for the Cap'n to see than the passengers doing a little something. Fill a request {here}. ✗ 4th level (Deck 7); Talk a little walk down on the lower decks.From books to cloth, to shoes, pots, pans, swords, beds, and toys. You name it and you can buy it. Don’t worry about the money. There are some things that are worth so much more. Just as before, you can make and create your own little center of trades. Show your stuff for the world to see. Apply for a little lot {here}. Those are the levels that people are allowed on and can visit of their own free will. But the levels and decks below that...
