AboutThis is a community dedicated to the romance between Inuyasha and Higurashi Kagome, the main pairing from Takahashi Rumiko's brilliant anime/manga- "Inuyasha."
Higurashi Kagome
Our main heroine- A modern day fifteen year old girl who impressively balances a life in sengoku jidai with her schoolwork in Modern Tokyo. Upon the day of her fifteenth birthday Kagome was transported to the Sengoku Jidai after falling through the well in her family's shrine. From there she discovered that the Shikon no Tama was in her body, that she was the reincarnation of the great Miko Kikyou, and she unsealed the Hanyou- Inuyasha. After an accident, she began an adventure with Inuyasha to complete the Shikon no Tama she unintentionally shattered. Kagome is brave, kind, feisty, and determined-- she has powerful Miko abilities, and would do anything to protect and comfort her companions.
Inuyasha
A young and headstrong inu-hanyou (Half human half dog demon) living in Sengoku Jidai, InuYasha is the hero of the story. Ostracized and labelled an outcast his entire life for his half breed blood, Inuyasha lost his mother early on and never knew his father. Presumably, after being on his own for several years Inuyasha came upon the Miko- Kikyou. However, a betrayal doomed their relationship and the Hanyou found himself sealed to the God Tree- Goshinboku in what was to be an eternal sleep. Kagome was able to release him though, and from there he began his adventure with her. Boisterous, stubborn, headstrong, and a bit cocky- Inuyasha is very insecure deep down due to his past. He shys away from relationships and people in fear of losing them, but when it all comes down to it those people are incredibly important to him. Like Kagome, He would do anything to protect his friends and comrades.
Their growing romance:
From the moment Kagome first saw the hanyou pinned to Goshinboku, to more recent adventures, the modern-day miko can always be found at Inuyasha's side. Originally teaming up to gather the shikon shards, their relationship has progressed into friendship, trust, and love.
Perhaps the key factors in what make this relationship so strong are complete acceptance and trust. Inuyasha and Kagome- despite their tendancy to get flustered and nervous, are incredibly comfortable around each other and at ease. Inuyasha outright says Kagome is "the first person he has ever trusted." Her near death at one point is also what causes InuYasha to shed his first tears. Kagome's open and accepting nature has made Inuyasha able to trust-- and eventually love her.
Inuyasha's connection to Kagome is so strong, that he feels incredibly awkward without her by his side, and this is displayed when she goes to her era best. (Although he blames it on his desire to get back to looking for Naraku at a few points.) Kagome has expressed her romantic feelings towards Inuyasha in words (although not to his face) a couple times herself. For his part, Inuyasha not only loves Kagome. but has admitted that he believes he was "was born so that she could meet me. And I, too… for Kagome’s sake…"
Like other main pairings in a Takahashi Rumiko series, Inuyasha and Kagome have their fair share of problems, but their strong bond with each other causes them to always be able to overcome such adversity and be the stronger for it in the end. On June 18th, 2008, their story finally came to a rousing and powerful end after almost twelve years of manga.

This community welcomes the posting and discussion of all things related to InuYasha and Kagome's relationship.
Such topics include:
1. Discussion of Inuyasha and Kagome as well as their relationship of course. Whether past, present, or theories for the future.
2. Posting and recommending of fanworks, your own or ones you've come across (as long as credit is given). Whether it's fanart, fanfiction, livejournal icons, or any other media relating to the Inuyasha/Kagome pairing, you're encouraged to post it here. (Please use an LJ-cut if it is a larger image.)
3. This is a community for fans of both the "Inuyasha" manga as well as the "Inuyasha" anime. As such, both forms are equally open to discussion.
What is NOT allowed in this community as well as some other notes:
1. Character bashing- Yes that includes Kikyou. This is an Inuyasha/Kagome community, not an anti-Kikyou one. If we see anything that we find degrading to a character in any way shape or form- the poster will be banned.
2. Spamming- If you have something to post, do not do it four different times.
3. Non-canon discussions- This is an Inuyasha/Kagome community, and as such we do not feel there is any benefit in discussion of other pairings involving those two characters. As well, it could cause possible conflict. So in the case of Inuyasha/Kagome, this is not a suggestion, but a rule. Keep it canon!
4. Spoilers are to always be placed behind an LJ-cut!
5. In order to make this all user-friendly, please take the time to spell-check your entries, and don't make immature posts on issues that have already been brought up or are just "I LOVE THIS PAIRING KTHNX BYE."
