AboutI got the idea for this community from reading Mystic Heart: Discovering a Universal Spirituality in the World's Religions by Wayne Teasdale. While there are many books about the common themes running through the various religions, what struck me here was Teasdale's recommendation not to give up your "indigenous religions (or in many cases the religions of their childhoods)." (Source: Amazon editorial review)
Rather than a new religion, it seems to me, and I may be wrong, Teasdale was saying the current religions are good, but they need to have a wider heart.
That's what this community is for--widening the heart of religions.
Enthusiasm is, of course, always welcome, but proselytizing will not be tolerated, nor will rudeness.
