Hey guys. Looks like a router is down or something. Several people have been having problems connecting to the MUSH through clients, even when raw telnet works fine.
Please use the numeric IP: 69.57.137.123 instead of innominemush.com for your connection. The port #, 1661, remains the same.

| Great Mistake Scenage! |
[03 Jun 2005|02:37pm] |
Depending on how events turn out, this will be the last or next to last scene in the story arc. Starting at about 8 pm Eastern, come on by tonight to see just what's up with the random Eli's running around!
A massive disturbance unlike any other was felt from the Graveyard of Austin. It wasn't the standard scream of disturbance, more akin instead to someone forcing their own personal symphony onto the real one in force. This lead Jeremy, Louise, Genevieve, and Damien to the scene... where they found an exploded grave. And some items. Everyone should begin to inspect those items.
If there's not that big of a turnout, we'll move it back to Saturday. Otherwise, see you tonight!

Now that at least two angels have seen the chaos sown by multiple Elis being the same area, much less recognizing each other, it's high time to start trying to piece the puzzle together. Why are they like this? How did they come to be this way? And now that the demons have gotten wind of the situation, what's to stop them from trying to procure one of these confused copies for themselves? Be here Tuesday night at 8 pm Eastern to take part in the next chapter of this saga!
Important note! It is strongly suggested that the angels and demons that want to investigate do some of their own footwork before the scene.
By Raphael: Alright people, a few items have been dropped about the playing field. They've been dropped to help you track the multiple Eli running around. This includes the Semi-Infinitely Refilling Cooler, the Infinitely Refilling Orange Icee, the Exploding Kosher Hot Dogs, and the Da Vinci male Mona Lisa... we'll have one last thing show up Tuesday at 8 PM EST for the next scene, then I expect you all to use those objects to track down the different Eli over the next few days afterwards. What does that mean? It means there is almost certainly going to be a scene a night starting Tuesday till the Eli Mystery is figured out.

Per Dan's ( tsayadim ) open call/request, I've coughed up something for Andre's Pre-Fall Attunements. Malakim did not exist Pre-Fall, but I felt compelled to compose the entry for them anyway, if only for the tongue-in-cheek comment at the end. Feel free to point and laugh at my n00b attempt at writing In Nomine stuff, since I've never gone out of my way to read the news forums etc. I'm asking for it! Feedback, constructive or otherwise, will be appreciated and possibly reciprocated. ;)
-------------------------
Love is not just romance: it embodies the selflessness involved in devoting one's attention and energies to improving the quality of another's life.
Dissonance Conditions: It is dissonant for angels of Love to not take actions to improve existing relationships between lovers, family, and close friends. A failed effort will not result in dissonance.
Choir Attunements:
Cherubim: These angels have no tolerance of emotional or physical abuse against family, friends, or lovers. They may add +1 to any rolls that involve confrontation with or correction of those who take advantage of love to harm another.
Elohim: The Elohim of Love can tell, at a glance, what items or situations may cause emotions that positively or negatively impact a relationship, allowing them to take measures to accentuate the positive.
Kyriotates: When possessing multiple hosts that have a happy, healthy relationship with each other, Kyriotates of Love receive a +2 bonus to their Precision and Will rolls.
Malakim: In addition to the information gained from a Malakite resonance roll, these angels know the details of and number of betrayals the target has committed against their brothers, wife, children, etc. They are also made aware of all the details of loving acts performed. They would make for particularly hard-bitten, but refreshingly candid, marriage counselors.
Mercurians: Love's Mercurians with this attunement can sense the potential for long-term relationships between two strangers. The two parties do not have to be observed at the same time and place by the angel. The angel applies the check digit of their resonance roll to the target number of actions that will cause the two to meet for the first time. They make excellent matchmakers and dating service agents.
Ofanim: Ofanim can generate relationship-related feelings in a target based upon those that the same person has felt or will feel from a time up to the number of months equal to the Ofanim's precision. They are the target's own emotions, and usually take the form of the giddiness that encounters first dates and young love. There is no way to predict whether or not emotions from the future are better than those in the present and past.
Seraphim: Add the number of Ethereal Forces to discern the target's true feelings for another, how honest the target is with telling the other AND themselves about their feelings as well as all other dealings.
Rites: Flirt for half an hour without touching the other(s). Watch the moon rise. Help strengthen a family's ties.

Associated Press Tuesday, March 21st
Last night, the charity concert held by the fans of the club No Dinero and the squatter's defense corps erupted into violence as a group of skinheads calling themselves the Hammerskins descended upon the establishment, looting and vandalizing utilities and fixtures, stealing much of the raised proceeds as well. The attack appears unrelated to the conflict that took place on the club's bar level, where large weapons, including a broadsword, were reportedly drawn, complete with the raving of a man who claimed to have been killed by others. Currently, police are barring access to the club, and are searching several of the asylums to make sure no patients are missing. This has pushed forward efforts by urban renewal groups to reclaim the plot of land and aging, multiple story building. Several arrests were made for public drunkenness, assault and battery, and disturbing the peace, but as of yet, no leads in the other muders that have been plaguing this fair city.

The Friday Night concert by the Austin Symphony Orchestra proved to be an explosive scene for them with their first performance of Marek Harris's 'New Angels'. With famous guest violinist, David Brickman, the ASO had a record turn out at the Bass Concert Hall. Harris originally composed 'New Angels' in 2002 as an artistic response to September 11th, 2001, with a stark originality and uncompromsingly beautiful and communicative rendition of orchestral work. ASO plans to hold several more concerts over the next few weeks in both Friday and Saturday night concerts. One critic is quoted as saying, "As a totality, "New Angels" is an enriching journey from despair to hope and peace that deserves many more performances."

Party-goers at the Fado's restaurant on St. Patrick's Day were shocked when a man calling himself Low Key Lyesmith burst into the bar and then pointed out two partiers as the suspects in this week's earlier occult-linked double homicide outside the No Dinero Club. The man, just over six feet in height, Caucasian and possessing blond hair and light blue eyes, was described by several witnesses as manic and unbalanced, and is wanted for questioning by local police. No information is available about the identities of those who were accused, whether they be coconspirators or truly innocent. The FOP reward for any leads in this case still stands.

Twenty four hours after the double homicide at No Dinero, the police are mounting a redoubled effort to bring in the slayer of one of their own. All parties present at the scene of the crime are being contacted and re-interviewed to uncover potential leads. A reward of $100,000 is being offered through the local Fraternal Order of Police for information that leads to the successful conviction of the murderer. As of tonight, there are still no leads, and citizens are urged to exercise caution when out in public.

Gunfire was reported this evening outside the No Dinero Club, located in Eastern Austin. The club, renowned for its rowdy patrons, has been under turmoil the past few years, and is targeted for an urban renewal project to bring expensive, upscale housing into the area. The bodies have been identified as Alexius West, one of the board directors for the establishment, while the other was one of Austin's Finest: Lieutenant Police Officer Nathaniel Carter. Both were shot in ritualistic fashion, the perpetrator painting the symbol of a pentagram upon the Lieutenant's forehead. No weapon has been discovered yet at the scene, and no witnesses observed the slayings. Police spokespersons have vowed to not rest until a perpetrator can be brought in to justice, and are asking for tips at this time.

Today is the last day before workers here at Dupont Chemical are expected to strike. The agreement between the local union and plant owner, Nicholas Lyman, has expired without a single negotiation. Through the media, Lyman has expressed his willingness to get a deal done, while suggesting the workers are simply asking for too much. Still, union representatives claim Lyman's people have been unresponsive and unwilling to meet. In fact, the union insists this is not a strike, but an owner lockout.

Associated Press Sunday, March 13th
St. Martin's Lutheran Church's attendance today is a full third below their normal two-thousand strong turnout, including one of the two pastors. Staff have received numerous phone calls from congregation members with complaint of a severe stomach flu. Church officials are scouring the facilities for the potential source of the transmission, and communion is being offered on a purely volunteer basis today. There is some speculation that this may be an outbreak of Norwalk Virus, the same sickness that plagued several cruise ships last summer. Frequent handwashing is encouraged to prevent serial, recurrent outbreaks of this difficult to disinfect germ. Wednesday song service will continue as normal, provided that choir numbers meet to required quorum.
