04:19 pm - INSERT CREDIT INJOKES AND MEMES
LWJoestar thought this was be an interesting project inspired by something done with Something Awful (or was it 4chan.) Either way he's the start:

MMOGC (Massive Multiplayer Online Gay Cats)
Bar Giko was a flash-based japanese chat program inwhich you took the role of Giko cat. It was linked in #insertcredit and after about 15 minutes of messing around with it, Rud13 (Myself) yelled, "These cats are totally gay." It snowballed from there and in about an hour "Merging" and other Gay Cat Timfoolery was taking place.

Merging
In Bar Giko one can move their avatar right over another's effectively making the two avatars one. The process is called "Merging". The most popular phrase regarding it was coined by thatbox, "Merging is the new sex."

Top Post
Started by DonMarco, it's making the first post on a new page. When done the post generally just said "Top Post!" It escallated to people rushing to fill a page. Eventually the number of posts were changed by one of the admins to make the top posts foiled.

Male-Pattern Balding
Another tactic used by the admins to curve Top Posting. A word filter introduced to curve the practice that changed "Top Posting" to "Male Pattern Balding."

www.awesomefarmsex.com
In #insertcredit, whenever someone would need a link to something say, information on the Revolution. Myself(sigh) would post a link like www.awesomefarmsex.com/revolution/ . The domain was eventually bought by DonMarco, and now serves as a link to BlendSpotting.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck
Posters WinkerWatson and Ajutla would come into any thread and being a tirad of spamming sometimes making more then 40 or more posts in one thread in an hour. Someone eventually started calling them Matt and Ben of insert credit.

insert credit
It is never capitalized. This is because Brandon told us that he never does it, and he's the founder of the site.

haoabese
A recent misspelling of "seriously" by duckroll. A really really amazing mispelling.

STFU TOUPS
Mister Toups joined the board saying too many words, and generally being unable to back down. This eventually got to a point that people would post "STFU TOUPS" anytime he made a post in a thread that was more then 250 words.

TIMFOOLERY
A play on the phrase Tomfoolery, refering to someone doing something foolish or silly. Inspired by the writer Tim Rogers.

Fucking Konami Week (FKW)
Started in 2004 during Valentine's Day week in which a bunch of threads involving Konami video games formed. Someone (Extralife?, AlphaNemesis?) proclaimed it as "Fucking Konami Week." This year it was a celebration, involving banners, a whole subset of the forums for the celebration, tshirts, Chaz posts. Many people have suggested having other company celebration weeks, but have been countered on the grounds that it would take away how special FKW is. It takes place during the week with Valentine's Day.

Mod the Balls, All are Lickers
During FKW 2005, BalbanesBeoulve started a thread proclaiming, "Konami Week is fucking stupid." (someone help me on what he actually said.) The mods renamed the thread saying "Konami Week is fucking awesome." Balbanes renamed the thread "All the Mods are Ball-Lickers." The mods then renamed the thread "Mod the Balls, All are Lickers."

Aderack
Know as Eric-Jon Rossel Waugh outside of the forum, known for being insightful, stubborn, and non-confrontational. Sometimes starts trends regarding his hatred of a game.

108 (cviii)
Tim Rogers outside of the forum. The Videogame journalist rockstar that people hope fucking dies.

exodus
Brandon Sheffield, founder of insert credit.

Sklathill
Vincent Diamante, webmaster of insert credit.

Moderhation
Coined by Psiga, used in which the mods are editing/deleting posts merely because they don't like something or feel like it. Has been missinterpreted lately as actual moderation.

01:25 pm - Brain Training in the US
Source: http://wiredblogs.tripod.com/games/index.blog?entry_id=1270953

"Next year, sometime after the January 9th release of the music game Electroplankton, they'll release the two Brain Training games that have lit up Japanese sales charts since last summer. Tentatively titled "Brain Training" and "Brain Flex," the games' mental-agility challenges have attracted lots of middle-aged men and women to the DS in Japan."

09:13 am - Photo contest!
Right now, kappuru, a super credit insertion expert, is neck and neck with some mannequin-loving oddball in a photography contest! It is up to YOU to go HERE ( http://www.gridskipper.com/travel/gridskipper/index.php#poll_=UjM0ITM ) and ensure that kappuru wins! If you can't vote for his picture in good conscience, which is pretty unlikely, don't vote at all.

GO. YOU HAVE LESS THAN TWO HOURS.

Also, please play ICO.

12:49 am - Some questions for venister
A few of you probably know by now that I'm both aiming to become a game designer and am a complete addict to the game GunZ.

A few of the "features" present in GunZ intrigued me, in the case of things such as cancelling moves and other things. I decided I'd ask venister for a bit more information from a designer's standpoint on his questions. I thought, to some extent, that his answers were somewhat interesting. He didn't really go over them too much, but it does give a little bit of insight on the game's development, which is what I was aiming for.

Here are his answers to a few of my questions. )</li></ol>

Am I the only one that has a copy of this? Like in the world? Google couldn't find it, and it wasn't in any of the Street Fighter mega-databases I know off-hand.

Edit: Don't tell Capcom about this. I'm already on their bad side.

07:11 pm - The Outfoxies
Because the Insert Credit forum, and the MAME thread are gone, I present a large guide to The Outfoxies, one of my personal favorites and one of three JAMMA boards I actually own. I always wanted to do a strategy guide for the game, but back when I got it it wasn't in MAME, so doing a site like this with screenshots would be nigh impossible. It just so happens that I'm also lazy as hell, so it never happened, even though I did register outfoxies.com for one year...

We can thank a Japanese fan though, because there is one hell of a site up since 2004 that I found while googling for a screenshot to show somebody. And here it is:

http://oosaka-web.hp.infoseek.co.jp/outfoxies/index.html

If you never played it, this 1994 Namco title was very unique. The best description (not by me) I've heard is "Super Smash Bros crossed with Elevator Action." I'll add that Hot Soup is a weapon, too.
