| About: | This community is meant as something of an informal "experiment" in human thought. It is open to all who wish to use it. The first rule is this: when you sit down to type, do not attempt to control your thoughts or where they lead. You should simply write whatever pops into your head, without trying to steer it in any given direction. Do not worry about whether something is offensive or not, as that is irrelevant to this little game. Snapshots of thought is all it's about. This type of writing may take some practice at first, as most of us are not accustomed to writing without purpose, and rarely pay attention to our own inner dialog. Read a few entries, then write a few entries, they'll get easier as you go along. Hint: forget about punctuation, spelling, and grammatical laws. Don't worry about it. They don't matter. I know I don't always think within the confines of conventional language, and I suspect few others do. Most of us are simply too lazy to try to string our thoughts together in a syntactically logical way all the time. Also, don't worry about trying to make sense. Unlike communication, this sort of thing does not serve a purpose of conveying an idea. It doesn't have to make sense to anyone, not even yourself. A few other general rules: It should go without saying, but don't try to spam this community and make it look like a legitimate post. It's annoying. If you want to post about a *related* community, fine, but make it clear that you are doing so and be polite about it and don't make a regular habit out of it. I haven't had any problems thus far with this, but don't be rude to other members. If you break the preceding two rules, you'll get a warning once, but repeat offenders are subject to being kicked from the community at the administrator's discretion. | |||
