AboutDefinition of Noosphere on wikipedia:
The noosphere can be seen as the "sphere of human thought" being derived from the Greek νους ("nous") meaning "mind" in the style of "atmosphere" and "biosphere". In the original theory of Vernadsky, the noosphere is the third in a succession of phases of development of the Earth, after the geosphere (inanimate matter) and the biosphere (biological life). Just as the emergence of life fundamentally transformed the geosphere, the emergence of human cognition fundamentally transforms the biosphere.
Noosphere is also sometimes used to refer to a transhuman consciousness emerging from the interactions of human minds.

This community is meant to be used by all members and nonmembers to present information of interest to others in the community. The idea is that someone will suddenly become interested in something like string theory, they will research it for their own benefit, and then they will post their research on this community so that we can all benefit from it. Posting of research can be done in whichever way the poster sees fit. It can be in a cut and paste form from the websites they used, it can be their own summary of their research, or a combination. Pictures are encouraged, and lj-cuts are not necessary. Links to websites used are helpful to any readers hoping to further educate themselves on the topics presented. Topics can be extremely varied, from biographies to scientific theories to the way a toaster works to an overview of an artistic movement. Please comment on anything you find interesting. Hopefully comments will include questions and create a dialogue between members. Everyone is welcome, the more the merrier!
