About
This community is for the sharing of independent, alternative and world cinema related movie icons. If you are bored of surfing through the Harry Potter or just fancy something a little bit different, this is the place to post it or find it. Feel free to browse through the memories to find a particular film.
1. All posts must contain icons. This community is not for requesting icons or having movie discussions, though you are welcome to do so within the icon posts.
2. All icons must be based on independent or world cinema movies. We are not going to be particularly strict about this, but I think you can appreciate that this is for icons celebrating the non-mainstream cinematic outputs. No Harry Potter or Lord of The Rings please. :) Just use your common sense.
3. If there are more than 3 icons please post them behind a cut or link.
4. Please put the name of the movie in the subject title.
5. Try and restrict each post to one movie, but if there are several different ones as part of a larger collection we'd rather have them than not. It just makes it trickier to add them to the memories.
6. No flaming other members (obviously) or making judgements on what one person thinks is icon worthy. Independent film-making is always going to appeal to different people – that is what makes it great.
7. Try and only post quality icons. If you are just getting started with icon design, maybe wait a bit until you have developed your technique before sharing icons. Or, if you are just having a bit of an off day, don’t share them just for the sake of it.
8. You must follow the conditions that the individual icon makers layout for the use of their creations. This will usually mean no hotlinking and remembering to credit them in the keywords.
