MusicDish Announces Premium Music Video Service: MusicDishTV Plus

    Url: http://tv.musicdish.net

    Sound: http://www.dailymotion.com/MusicDishTV

MusicDish, LLC announced that a new premium video service for artists has been launched: MusicDishTV Plus.

MusicDishTV Plus is an upgraded stand-alone option to MusicDishTV, which delivers cutting edge music videos and recorded live performances on the leading video sharing platforms, such as YouTube and Dailymotion. MusicDishTV Plus distinguishes itself from MusicDishTV in that video submissions are guaranteed acceptance (provided the content is appropriate), and the process for releasing the video is expedited from what can be a 4-5 month waiting period (due to its popularity) to two weeks. MusicDishTV Plus also includes a professionally written video review.

Eric de Fontenay, Founder and CEO of MusicDish stated, "MusicDishTV Plus is our way of providing an alternative to talented artists who want more exposure for their music and videos quickly and effectively. As music videos are a very popular way to reach one's target audience, MusicDishTV Plus harnesses the power of the internet to efficiently maximize an artist's visibility."

    team jacob/team edward
okay. per request making some twilight saga themed mixes. don't poke fun!

so far i've got a few for 'team jacob' but could use a few more.

    voxtrot-raised by wolves
modest mouse-wild pack of family dogs
    cat power-werewolf
    sea wolf-you're a wolf
    ben folds-dog
    deerhoof-dog on the sidewalk
    animal collective-doggy
    damien rice-dogs
    my chemical romance-house of wolves
arctic monkeys-perhaps vampires is a bit strong but...
    secret & whisper-werewolves
    radiohead-a wolf at the door

some of those are just maybes, so i'd like to switch them out for different songs. i'm sure you get the idea of what i'm looking for from the songs i've shown.

as far as 'team edward' goes i haven't started but i'm looking for obviously vampire songs and then also songs that mention blood or being cold. need to get this done in the next few weeks (before the premier) preferably sooner rather than later.

    free mix cd!
     hey all,
i have a bunch of random mix cds that i've made over the years, and all my music is organized on my external harddrive, so i'm looking to get rid of the hard copy stuff. that said, i want to share the music with someone who will appreciate it. so if you want a mix cd from someone totally random (me), shoot me an email at the-smiths@hotmail.com with your name and mailing address and then wait from something neat to show up in your mailbox in the next couple weeks!

About a month ago I met a boy who... well, I thought never really existed. He is perfect in every way, to me. Sadly he's going back to college tomorrow... I'm sad to see him go, and he's sad too. My short and sweet summer love.

I'm looking for songs about missing someone, or not wanting someone to leave.

Seems like a common thing people sing about but for some reason, I can only think of

'Save Tonight' by Eagle Eye Cherry

So any suggestions would be very much appreciated, thank you. :)

my friend was pretty much dumped by her fiance a month before the wedding day, so i'm making her a two part mix.

part one will help her through her mourning period and part two is the back on her feet pump her up side.

i have a few so far for examples:

    part one:
    feist-let it die
    drama rama-anything, anything
    frou frou-hear me out
    damien rice-cold water
    no doubt-simple kind of life
    she &him-black hole
    coldplay-hardest part

    part two:
    beach boys-here comes the sun
    rilo kiley-a better son-daughter
    the dear hunter-black sandy beaches
elliott smith-somebody i used to know
flight of the concords-i'm not crying (this is meant as an LOL song to be at the very end)

anyway. help/suggestions would be great! i have a lot of options for part one, but more is always good. I def. need more for part two.

Fauna - Have u ever talked to angels? (2008) CD version

Российский проект «Fauna», взявший свое начало в 2001 году, представляет новый, третий по счету, альбом «Have u ever talked to angels?»

I want to make two different mixes right now, in different orders of importance. I have a good chunk of songs that I like for them, but I feel like I need quite a bit more bolstering, and I was wondering if some of you wonderful people might have any suggestions for me!

    1.

All right, I am leaving the country for a month for foreign study, and my boyfriend of over a year is terrified that I won't come back, or that I'll meet someone else (which won't happen in a million years). I want to make him a mix, something I can put in the mail the day I leave or something so he gets it a few days later, in some reassurance that I will be coming back and that I'll miss him a lot. So! Songs to do with travel, distance, or just sweet songs for your significant other period.

    what I have:
Piazza, New York Catcher -- Belle & Sebastian
Sweet Lovin' Man -- The Magnetic Fields
    Person Person -- Mirah
Till We Meet Again -- Jeremy Jay

There are others, but these are the main ones. Wanted to see what anyone's ideas might be.

    2.

A friend of mine inspired me to demonstrate my immense love for Beat Happening by making a mix of lo-fi, simple melodied upbeat tunes to bop along to this summer. I do have a lot of songs I'm tussling with, and I think some songs will make the cut that don't necessarily follow this theme but that flow nicely, but I wanted to share a snippet of what I have there as well:

Don't Touch My Bikini -- The Halo Benders
    The Dazzled -- Crystal Stilts
Fine Young Cannibals -- The Wolf Parade
    Ask Me -- Beat Happening
Between Your Ear and the Other Ear -- The Microphones
    Ship -- Thee Oh Sees
    Tiger Trap -- Beat Happening

OKAY. Now that I have that mouthful out, anyone who has an idea would win me infinite gratitude!

    I'm sure
this has been asked before, but it's late and my attempt to find a mix that fits my quota isn't going too great.

but both me and my best friend/boyfriend are taking a semester abroad. bittersweet because i'll be in italy and he will be in austrailia. the premises of our relationship are going to be open because it's an opportunity of a lifetime and we're not naive enough to think we will stay together forever.

but i was hoping someone could suggest a few songs that would fit along the lines of traveling, broadening your horizons, and of course... missing you.

i have a few weeks left so any suggestions would be amazing!

    thanks! -jes

a lovely mix in the making..
i am planning on putting together a little mix for my boyfriend. we are both interested in travel and have discussed the possibility of heading west sometime in the next few months. i want to make a mix that has a very westerny/folksy feel. the kind of mix you can pop in while driving on an open seemingly endless road and it hits you that youre venturing out and beginning a new journey..

what songs pump you up? or if you have traveled a great distance.. are there any particular songs you remember listening to that really stood out? or what songs would you like to listen to if you were about to take a 3000 mile trip?

    :)

I really hope this is allowed...!
    Hi guys!

I posted here once, a very long time ago, and it's good to see this community is still thriving :)

I have a request for help. I'm not making a mix, nor do I want one made for me (which is why I hope this is allowed!). As a final for one of my classes, I have to create a movement piece based on a childhood memory. We have to find a picture related to that memory (which should be of us), a poem, and music. The latter is why I'm posting here; I'm wondering if you kats and kittens, who are clearly more music-savvy than I, could take a look at this picture and suggest some music that I could include in my movement piece?

The picture and more information under the cut... )

Thanks so much for your help!

    Linds.

I've been planning to hook my turntable up to my cassette recorder for a while now, so I figured I should set a goal that requires such a set-up in order to prod my stereo-rigging project into gear. What better way to get things going than to plan out a mixtape which I will be able to record from my vinyl onto cassette when I finally get everything hooked up? I plan on rockin' some modern tracks ol' school via some scratched plastick on an all '08 mix!

    Side A

TV on the Radio - Halfway Home

    wire songs
    Just out of curiosity:

"Wichita Lineman" by Jimmy Webb and "Light up my Room" by Barenaked Ladies both reference telephone/telegraph communications, specifically cables. So does Bush's "Letting the Cables Sleep." Are there any other songs in this vein?

Okay, I'm working on another mix that I got the idea for during summer. It's basically a "self-help" mix. So far all I have is Malediction by Stephen Malkmus and Etiquette by Daniel Johnston. Go...

    eight songs
i worked on this playlist earlier and the theme is, well, a little morbid.. but it's about a man who realizes he lives in such a strange place -- he hates his town, his woman's cheating -- that he ends up killing her. then, toward the end, realizes he was just lonely and made a mistake. maybe it'll make sense to you... or not.

world spins madly on by the weepies
gardenhead/leave me alone by neutral milk hotel
devil town by bright eyes (daniel johnston cover)
of minor prophets and their prostitute wives by pedro the lion
    westfall by okkervil river
you are my face by wilco
    incandescent by rob szabo
born into a light by ryan adams & the cardinals

    What's up Ryan?
Anyone know any songs with transition metals in either the lyrics or title? All I have so far is Titanium Expose by Sonic Youth and Cadmium by Superchunk. Other transition metals are scandium, vanadium, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, yttrium, zirconium, niobium, molybdenum, technetium, ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, silver, lanthanum, hafnium, tantalum, tungsten, rhenium, osmium, iridium, platinum, gold, mercury, actinium, rutherfordium, dubnium, seaborgium, bohrium, hassium, meitnerium, darmstadtium, roentgenium, and ununbium. Also, songs that sort of sound like any of these are also fine, such as something about Niels Bohr (bohrium) or any dub (dubnium). Thanks everyone.

    Song Suggestions
Does anyone know of any songs (any genre) about settling in a relationship? Not necessarily in a bad way, but staying with someone cause you've been together so long or something.

Death Cab for Cutie - You Can Do Better Than Me
    "I'm starting to feel
We stay together out of fear
    Of dying alone"

Ben Folds - You Don't Know Me
"Do you ever sit and wonder
    It's so strange
That we could be together for so long
    And never know, never care
What goes on in the other one's head"

    Thanks!
