AboutThe idea of this community is: you join, and then if you happen to be listening to something that rules but nobody seems to know about it, you post here telling everyone to check it out. This way, readers get a bunch of interesting recommendations, and posters get to plug their favorite bands without anyone getting annoyed.
Obviously, the name of the community should not be taken to mean that you should only post "indie rock" recommendations, though that's fine too. Any genre of music is fine, as long as it's something underappreciated. And don't worry about being "esoteric enough" -- obscurity competitions are total bullshit. Just don't post about anything that everyone knows about, cause what would be the point? Also, unknown releases by well-known artists are fine.
One other thing -- when you recommend something, tell us what it sounds like so we know if we want to go buy it or not!
