The Rum Podfic with Rocky!
We read the same books, ship the same pairings, listen to the same music, share recipes and plot bunnies It's official. [info]waqaychay and I get along famously. And that is putting it lightly. So of course it was only a matter of time before the two of us joined fandom forces. For good or evil, I can't say, but the bottom line is that now...we have a collaberation.  This marks not only my first fic-for-pod trade, but also my first outing with a new author!

Recording this podfic was like trying on a tailored dress. It fits perfectly because It was made specifically for you. I couldn't have asked for a better girl or better fiction. Really there's nothing else to say about it. On to the podifc and, as always, I hope you enjoy and leave much feedback and love.

I gave myself a deserving treat and ordered the book. I qualified it by not ordering the Region 2 DVD or hopping on a plane and flying to the UK for Stephen...um, that is, Stephen's book signings, so really, I'm saving money. *nods*

okay, i think the giddy excitement is almost controlled enough for me to write an actual comment now. ;D

things wot i love about this podfic (in order of appearance):

1. bertie's impression of jeeves. *LOLOLOL* OMG THAT IS AWESOME!!! i can just see bertie's face while he's doing that. omg, i love it. :D
2. your rocky voice. SO. DEAD. ON. :D
3. the poem. *poke poke* you can hate me all you want, but you did it so well! *lol* it's just like i imagined it in my head. and so very, very rocky todd.
4. the bit about ice skates. *LOLOLOLOL* ;D
5. rocky's sex voice. O_O damn, girl.
6. jeeves's hurt voice. oh, my heart ached! both for him and for poor bertie.
7. "do snakes moan, jeeves?" that was seriously adorable.
8. the counter top sex. *GUH* it must be reassuring to know that you could always have a successful career as a phone sex operator. ;D
9. jeeves's sex voice. that was almost unbearably hot. and probably my favorite part of this whole thing. your jeeves voice is just... amazing.
10. "and it was, too." again, just adorable!
11. bertie's indignation and protests.
12. the ENTIRE ot3 scene! dear god, that's hot. especially jeeves's voice, from the icy tones to the pillow talk.
13. rocky's demanding voice. *lol* the slut! ;D
14. rocky's orgasm. i would have PAID GOOD MONEY to be there when you recorded that! *LOLOLOL* i can just imagine what your face must have looked like. ;P
15. did i mention jeeves's pillow talk voice?
16. "good lord, that's exhausting work!" very convincing yawn! :D
17. the commentary. how adorable are you? ;D

Oh now I'm full of giddy excitement! Like srsly, I can't stop smiling! Okay, now to reply to all the bits you like.

1. Har har, Right out of the gate, I was PSYCHED to get to do that. It was the first 'gag' I noticed when reading, and knew I couldn't just read it. Bertie would SO try out the stuffed frog voice.
2. Hooray for Rocky's voice working. His voice was my impression of the most American American I could muster without a Texan accent. That's all I've got in the American department tho, I think. Unless I get to do a gruff, gravely or accented American, There all gonna sound the same. XD
3.Damn that assingly overdone poem! XDD Really, I think I could've cheesed it up even more, but my dignity wouldn't allow it. Really, There's only one way to recite Todd poetry: Arms out, bellowing it into the streets like a loon.
4.I ADORE THAT ROLLER SKATE BIT!
5. Rocky...is a slut. Or at least plays one in bed. The oversexed American ideal, I suppose.
6. I've found I've inserted more and more emotion into Jeeves's voice as his character has developed inside me. I just can't imagine that Jeeves can guard his emotions so sternly; not around Bertie.
7.I think that was SO in character so Bertie. In the middle of this big fight and then all 'Hmm, I wonder'. That was all you!
8. Awright! Bite it, Target. I'm applying at 1-900-naughty-Brits! XDD That's gotta be one of the greatest compliments ever!
9. Most often, people tell me that my Jeeves voice is their favorite. But "amazing"? *blushes and hide her face, bashfully* Listening back, I thought Jeeves's mid-coital voice sounded just this side of being in tears. Really... I LIKED IT! It really reinforced that fear of the loss of control you wrote into him.
10. I love it when Bertie is saucy! XD
11. That whole bit felt so movie moment to me. That kinda ":D Pardon us. D:< WTF, man!?" thing is always awesome!
12. THAAAANK YOOOOUUU!
13. I kinda made Rocky into the stereotypical American. That "I know what I want and I want it NOW!" mentality is so USA! but of course, it was your lovely writing choice!
14. I am sickly proud of that orgasm. I'm not sure where it came from. Probably the jog around the studio to pump myself up MAKE COMPLETELY CERTAIN no one else was around. I doubt I will ever get something quite that perfect again.
15. yes you did, but I take it you enjoyed it extra.
16. That's because it WAS a real yawn, dear. XD

8. they get paid by the call, i believe, and they have to have to take so many calls per day. i think. i love talking to my friend who's the phone sex operator/controller. she has some really interesting stories. especially since she works for a "mommy" company that specializes in infantilism. there are some fucked up guys out there.

First you fed my ears with this naughty stuff and yesterday Stephen fed me The Liar in one go. I must say this was a very good podbook week, indeed.
So glad I was outside in the dark when I listened to it... it made me blush several times.
The oddest thing: I didn´t even know when the story would take place but had watched the Rocky episode just one day before I listened to it. (I´m still not through the whole series... want to save it up a bit.)
Anyway, you have some internets for being generally talented and entertaining.
