| I have fallen behind on my reading again, not caught up with the board as I have been laid low with a virus for a week. I'm still weak, but now believe I'll be back at work on Monday.
During one of my fever-dreams, I somehow managed to think of Aunt Agatha as the thirteenth fairy. She was being especially hateful to poor Bertie and someone - a young woman, I think - remarked that she was just like the thirteenth fairy. This is absurd as with her background, Agatha would never have been caught airing her dirty linen in public. But it was just a dream. Sadly, I don't remember how she reacted to the remark and would have loved to. I suppose I was trying to amuse myself by thinking of interesting things when all I could do was lie in bed.
Occasionally I think of her as Aunt Hagatha - another little crossover reference there (Pokemon).
Thinking about the thirteenth fairy especially, more than Hagatha, puts silly ideas into my head. Just how many 'interesting' crossovers does one fandom need?

| And here's episode 3, Pearls Mean Tears. Sorry for doing two posts so close together. I was planning on doing one post for both episodes, but it would have got a bit long. Anyway, you can download the whole folder here (76 MB, 1488 caps). I apologize in advance for my uninspired and/or inappropriate comments. ( You know the drill... ) | |

| What ho, all. Another practical question here. Sorry to be so full of questions lately.
This is the question. If Jeeves were to be temporarily unemployed (by temporarily, I mean not more than a couple of weeks) and had to go and stay in a London hotel for a while, what sort of establishment would someone of his 'class' stay?
I know that Jeeves, while far from being as wealthy as Bertie, of course, was pretty well-off - far from being poor, at least. In the stories and novels we get glimpses of him living the high life a little bit when off-duty - the plush Ganymede club, the cigars in Manhattan night clubs, etc. Well-off enough to pass himself off as a reasonably well-to-do gentleman, anyway.
So, would he stay at one of the higher-end places, or would prudence prompt him to choose something more along the lines of a smaller inn or guest house?
If you happen to know anything about 1920/1930s London, or happen to know the names of some places Jeeves might have stayed at that time, I'm all ears! I've researched the Great Western Hotel (now a Hilton) in Paddington, but I can't get a sense as to whether Jeeves might have considered it too extravagant.
By the way, for the purposes of the plot I'm developing, it has to be a hotel - he can't be staying with family or friends or anything like that - and it needs to be in London, though not necessarily Central London.
Be glad to hear any opinions! Pip pip!

| So a few plotbunnies got together. One was Jeeves losing control, one was the remnant of an old OMC/OMC pairing of mine (the younger thought he was dying of leukemia and let himself become his partner's sex toy), one was from a fic I read a while ago that I can't remember the name of where Jeeves is portrayed as a "seducer of men," and last but not least, one was one of queen_fiend's captions remarking " Jeeves and his Bertie-doll." They started breeding. One of their rabbitlings was a dark-fic. Many thanks to toodlepipsigner for beta'ing! Title: Jeeves and the Dress-Up Doll Pairing: Jeeves/Bertie Summary: Jeeves is missing a few layers in the old onion and has come to view his master as more of a possession than a person... Rating: NC-17 Words: 2,189 Disclaimer: Contains elements of sexual objectification, rape, mental instability, and hints of clothing fetishism. | First off, triedunture regrets to report the following regarding her entry in Jeeves, Wooster, and the Educational Tour: (copied from Twitter): "Guys, blanket statement: I am so sorry I dropped the ball on the Jooster challenge. I sucked. Just go ahead without me! *fails at life*" (I asked her if she could make a formal post here, but seeing as she hasn't yet and the next Educational Tour deadline is coming up...) My apologies if I'm overstepping my boundaries, but I'd hate to see this project to fall through the cracks when it's just getting off the ground! jmparrot, you're up next! Second, and I know there have been plenty of posts like this before, but I'm looking for a beta for my latest fic. It covers a lot of things (sexual objectification, a less-than-sane narrator) that I've never written about before and I'd like to get a second opinion before I post it. It's not that long, either. Only about 2,000 words. Third, I discovered recently that there was NO fanart of Bertie-prototype Reggie Pepper on DeviantArt. So I took the liberty of remedying that. :D That's all for now, hope to return with fic soon! Toodle-pip! - Mood:contemplative

| <lj user="wemblee"> made a little comment to my comment on that S&M post by <lj user="lawnum">, where my throw-away comment of Bertie being 'Good, Giving, and Game' caused her to say that she would give anything to see the Wodehouse characters write in to Dan Savage. And so....
Anne Ravage Column
A sex columnist for a magazine that nearly everyone in the Woosterverse reads, but no-one admits to reading.
I once obsessively read about a year or two's worth of Dan Savage columns, so I will try to play the part of Anne, who may or may not be tippling absinthe. (Warning: I might not be back on until Monday.)
Post in character, have at it!

Greetings and salutations again, my loyal readership. This week's column is not sure what's backwards or forwards, up or down, as a few inverts decide to write in. Let's have a look at what's been driving some people absolutely Wilde lately.

| IT'S... Macro tiems again.First, some completely and utterly shameless plugging. Kinda off-topic, but I know that where there are Jeeves and Wooster fans, there are likely to be Blackadder fans as well. This is a Blackadder art meme I made months ago since there weren't any on DeviantArt and literally no one has done it except me. Just putting that out there. Also, I noticed that no one commented on my recent art post. Just wondering, but would it be better/easier for you guys if I just posted the picture itself instead of a link to it? Because I've noticed that most people do that. BUT. Enough of my self-indulgent ramblings. ( Here. Has a biscuit. )Also, remind me at some later date to make a post about the (non-alcoholic) Jeeves and Wooster Drinking Game. - Mood:lazy

| Hello there. My name is Lemony and I'm sixteen years old. I'm not new to this comm, but I have never posted before, so thought it best to introduce myself.
Right, so long story short my friend wouldn't believe that Bertie and Jeeves were more than friends so I wrote her a little essay, about six pages long on word, based on the short story 'Leave it to Jeeves' from the book, 'My Man Jeeves' and I've tarted it up a bit for this comm. It's not particularly professional or deep and I've never written anything like this before apart from for school so I can't promise it'll be good, but I'd love to hear what you guys think.
I should also point out that all the quotes used in this post were written by P.G. Wodehouse. I've tagged and I've read the rules but I've still probably done something wrong so I apologize in advance.
'Leave it to Jeeves'- A slashy almost essay.

| I'm writing a fic (a sequel, actually), in which Bertie and Jeeves travel from Brinkley Court to the South of France. This leads to questions, which I hope someone in this lovely fluffy community can help me out with, even if it's only a guess.
1. How long would it take to travel from A to B in that pre-Channel Tunnel era?
2. Would they mostly travel by train, do you think?
3. If the journey is more than 12 hours, and they left in the afternoon/evening, would they stop overnight somewhere on the way, or would they sleep on the train? Did they run night trains in France, then? Is it likely there'd be a train leaving in the late afternoon for that destination?
4. Was there a train that went straight from Calais or Boulogne in North France all the way to the south?
You get my basic idea, I think. What are your thoughts? Anyone know much about 1920s travel?
Thanks very much for any help you can give.

| What-ho, my fellow eggs!
Sorry for the off-topicity of this post, but for days I have tried and failed to remember the title/author of a book series that was once mention here on indeedsir. The series in question was a dark humor-ish crime one, with a touch Wodehouse parody (I distinctly remember the original poster using the term anti-Jeeves) and would be absolutely beside myself with joy if anyone could tell me the blasted name once more.
My eternal - or at least very long-term - affections to the one who puts my negligible mind at ease. :)

| Okay, so the new tags system has been up and running for a while, and many of you are doing great jobs with tagging your posts. That cuts down on my job considerably, so thank you :) However, I thought it was about time we had an info post about the new tags and how everything works, to cut down on confusion and to help everyone choose the right tags. ( A Guide to the Use of Indeesir Tags )Okay, I think that's everything. If anyone has any questions about specific tags and their use, or would like to request a tag, reply here. I'll put the link of this post in the community info so it can always be found. | |
