I like making icons. It's a creative outlet for me. If you want any of these icons, go ahead and take them--you don't need to ask permission. But please leave me a comment to let me know which ones you're liberating, so that I can know what people like and try to make other icons in that/those vein(s). Please give me credit for these icons. I may not have taken the photographs or scanned them in, but I did spend a lot of time making the icon itself. You can credit me either by using "impetus_icons" in your keywords, or putting something aboutimpetus_icons in your userinfo. And don't try to claim any as your own. That's just really uncool.
