A/N: That title is probably temporary. Also, I'm afraid that their speech patterns are probably a little anachronistic for the time period it's ostensibly taking place in, but I tried not to slip into obvious slang. I can write formally; I just thought it might get stilted in this story.

Um, first time poster? Hope I'm doing this right.

These are pieces of an Air Gear fairy tale AU that come together in chronological order and so shouldn't be too confusing.

The myth in question was one version of the myth of Melusine, where a young man of nobility came across a mysterious woman in the forest and fell in love. He married her and she gave him one condition, that he build her a manor deep in the forest and never visit her on Saturdays. They had two children, one of whom was inhuman and another who became a monk. After some time his brothers planted suspicion in his heart and he spied on her, discovering that during these days she became half fish. In some versions she knew immediately and forgave him, and in another he snuck away successfully and never said anything because he loved her, but in both versions he eventually argued with her and accused her of being a 'serpent' and she immediately left, in the latter version because she had to and in the former because she was furious at his betrayal.

Liberties obviously taken. She's not a fish in this version, for one.
