We have an urgent need for Japanese (spot) translators. We have quite a few files translated (and timed), but we cannot proceed 'cause of the lack of spot translators.


Some info of our projects under work:

- Drama series, 12 episodes, approx. 25min per episode
- Cast: Endo Yuya, Yanagi Kotaro, Yasuda Misako, Seto Koji, Kato Yoshika..
- Status: episodes 1-2 have been translated and timed, waiting for spot translating

Taiga Roman Series: Danjo Gyakuten Yoshiwara Yukaku
- Movie + making of, movie is approx. 80min, making of is approx. 30min
- Cast: Yanagishita Tomo, Kawahara Makoto, Kotani Yoshikazu, Nagai Tomoya, Ishikawa Shinichiro
- Status: movie and making of have been translated and timed, waiting for spot translating
- Spot translator needed
- This one requires information hunting skills (about oirans 花魁).


Taiikukan Baby
- Movie
- Cast: Nakamura Yuichi, Takahashi Yuuta, Kubo Sho
- Pending. THERE ARE JAPANESE SUBS (SCRIPT) FOR THIS ONE.
- We need c-translator (subs) + j-spot translator (subs/audio) OR j-translator (subs/audio)

- Drama series, 13 episodes, approx. 25min per episode
- Cast: Tokuyama Hidenori, Ishigaki Yuma, Aoyama Sota, Mizutani Yuri..
- Status: episodes 1-2 released
- We need a new Japanese translator OR Korean/Chinese translator + Japanese spot translator.


Kindan No Koi
- BL movie, approx. 71 minutes (there's also a making of, 53min - not sure if it's c-subbed)
- Cast: Mikami Masashi, Kato Ryosuke..
- We need a Japanese translator OR Chinese translator + Japanese spot translator


Kizumomo
- Movie, approx. 70min.
- Cast: Baba Toru, Furukawa Yuta, Kawai Ryunosuke...
- Status: movie has been translated (and timed?), waiting for spot translating
- Spot translator needed


Oshikiri
- Movie
- Cast: Tokuyama Hidenori
- Status: partly translated, still under work
- Spot translator needed



Permanent translators are more than welcome, but help from guest aka temporary translators is appreciated as well. (Korean and Chinese translating is done from subtitles, spot & Japanese translating from audio.)

Spot translating means there already exists a translation, but a fluent translator needs to go through it, and fill empty spots and/or fix mistranslations. Unlike many people seem to think, spot translating is not easier than being main translator 'cause spot translator has to be fluent while main translator necessarily don't. However, spot translating is a little less work since it's not about starting from scratch but fixing something already existing.

Sweet people able to help can contact either me or resie_ness by PMing via LJ.

Straight to the point: Do not by any means re-encode our subbed files. That includes the stupid iPod format.

As an encoder nothing else offends me as much as seeing a file I have encoded being screwed up like that. If someone really wants to have a file in e.g. iPod format he can do it himself. Privately. Don't go around posting re-encoded versions of our subbed files.

If you have such files up, remove them like right now. I know there are a couple of files uploaded, and I'll do some file hunting on weekend.

Okay, since we announced we are doing Ghost Friends a whole bunch of people have joined our forum and not said a word or contributed anything. (I feel like a parrot here lol)  It's quite frankly annoying when people join the forum and say nothing or contribute nothing. We have been deleting any account within 48 hours that shows no signs of being used.

Because of this we've now decided that in order to join our team, you need to pm myself or harumi first. There are two ways you can do this.

PM here on lj, resie_ness  or tomokaku  or on d-addicts (Resie or sungie). Joining the forum without contacting either of us will result in immediate deletion of the account you have created.

You won't be able to see anything on our forums till myself or Harumi has activated your account. Tell us what you think you can contribute. (translator, timer etc)

We are no longer recruiting staff for Ghost Friends.

At the moment we are only recruiting for translators for various upcoming projects. Nothing else. We are a small team and would like to keep it that way.
