IHF: Insane Hockey Fic

xxx_supafly@yahoo.com AboutIHF: Insane Hockey Fiction is a fanfiction community, specifically for fics dealing with the sport of hockey. Be that fandom fiction using real life players and teams, or original fiction using characters you created yourself, as long as it's hockey we welcome it here at IHF!
We don't have a lot of rules here at IHF, but we have a few that we ask you to follow, and they are as follows:
1. This community is for hockey fiction only. This is not a place to discuss your new hair color, or what hockey players you've slept with, or even what your views on hockey are. The only exception to this rule is posts relating to the community itself, or fic challenges. For list matters, I would prefer it if you emailed me personally at the email listed above for such things. Excessive off-topic posting can lead to your removal and ban from the community.
2. We accept all genres of fiction here: het, slash, gen, fluff, anything else you can think of, we're not picky. But any fic posted must be related to hockey or it is subject to removal. We politely request that you label the genre, but it is not required.
3. We require that you provide a header to all of your fics. Normal header content consists of your name/pseudoname, title, rating, disclaimer, and any warnings. Pairing, or summaries are not required, but they certainly don't hurt. Any rating from G to NC-17 is accepted. It is required that you state what your fic is rated and warn of any content you think might be offensive to others.. Not all of our members are into the same thing, so please think of that before you post. Continuous abuse of this rule can lead to your removal.
4. There is no limit for the length of your fic. All we ask is that it be more than 100 words. 100 words or less is classified as a drabble, and for that I recommend joining![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif)
shortandhard. ALL fics must be placed behind a lj-cut. This does not include header material. But please, keep the information to a minimum. If you're not familiar with the lj-cut, you can learn about it here.
5. It is not required, but just straight up nice to comment if you like what you read. All writers, no matter who they are, love to get feedback. It is the life blood of the fiction writer, the thing that spurs most of us to write a lot, and in a timely fashion. But please remember to respect the other members. It's pretty hard to tell on the internet the difference between constructive criticism and an insult. Not everyone wants to improve as a writer, and some get downright offended at the implication that they need to. If something confuses you, just ask, most authors will be glad to help you out.
5A. Perhaps most importantly, have fun, and respect each other! This list is for hockey fans to share fics, get feedback, and interact with other fans. The golden rule states "Treat others like you want to be treated", and it's a great rule to live by in this community.
And now, for the ever-popular disclaimer:
We as fanfiction writers neither know nor claim to know anything about the personal lives of the real people featured in our stories. We use them for characters only. None of this is real, it's just fiction. We intend no insult, slander, or copyright infringement, and no money is being made from any of this. These stories are for entertainment purposes only and have nothing to do with real life or the real lives of the people whose names we use.
There WILL be NC-17 material in this community, that's all some of us writers deal in. And more than likely, it'll be slash NC-17 material. This means boy/boy and/or girl/girl sex. Or if you're really lucky, boy/boy/girl/girl.
If you think any of that is going to offend you, please don't waste your time, my time, or the time of the other members by joining this community. If you're thinking of joining with the sole intent of flaming us, please truck on down to Wal-Mart and buy yourself a life and don't waste our time. Nothing is going to change, we're going to write, you'll still be offended. So please, don't bother us.
