Because of that, we have one, very simple rule. "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." We love constructive criticism, but simply saying "that tattoo sucks" or something worse, isn't constructive. Just bite your tongue and move on to the next entry. When you join this community, you are agreeing to respect and follow this rule. ihearttattoos DOES NOT IN ANY WAY PROMOTE RIPPING OFF SOMEONE ELSE'S ARTWORK OR SOMEONE ELSE'S CUSTOM TATTOO DESIGNS. Believe it or not, there is etiquette in the world of tattooing. Any respectable artist will tell you that. If you do this, we will not support you. If you make a post in our community with your tattoos and someone calls you out proving you've stolen it, your post will be deleted, and you will be banned. From there, it is up to the individual with the original artwork to take whatever action they feel necessary. Here are a few smaller guidelines for posting in this community: 1) We are a tattoo and tattoo-related art community. For information on body mods, please check out body-mod specific communities. 2) 3) This is not a promo community. If you would like to promote your community, go to community_promo. Promos for other communities will be deleted and the poster will be banned.4) We try to update the memories section on a regular basis. If you are going to be asking general questions about tattoos, please check there before posting. Redundant questions will be rejected with a simple explanation to view our memories section. 5) DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT post pictures of other people's work if you solely intend to make fun of the piece for your own amusement. Doing something like that with malicious intent will not only get your post rejected, but will get you banned as well. It's not your tattoo, it's not for you to judge in that type of manner. badtattoos_4 is good for that. However, if you are caught taking tattoos from this community to post over there, you will be banned. No exceptions.6) As an exception to the above rule, feel free to post your friends/family members/significant other's tattoos WITH THEIR PERMISSION. 7) USE LJ-CUTS!!! If you are posting large images (approximately larger than 500x500) or multiple images, please use a lj-cut. If you don't know what this is or how to use it, CLICK HERE. 8) Please check our SHOP RECOMMENDATIONS POST on where to go to get tattooed. These are shops recommended by our members. If you are a new member and have a recommendation, please feel free to add it at any time! If you have already checked that post and the area you're asking about is NOT listed, you can then feel free to post. Otherwise, the post will be rejected. 9) Since there are minors in this community, please do not post nudity. Tasteful pictures of certain areas of the body, related to the tattoo will be accepted, as long as there is no nudity. 10) Don't come here asking for tattoo ideas or for someone to draw a tattoo for you. Only you can decide for yourself and only your artist or yourself should draw what you want. The internet is a great resource, but no one here is about to take the time doing these things for a complete stranger. 11) Last, but certainly not least... TATTOOS HURT. Don't come here asking if they hurt, how much they hurt, or if it's possible to make them not hurt.
