| Sondre Lerche & Regina - Hell No |
[Dec. 13th, 2009|03:56 pm] |
For her Oslo gig she teamed up with Sondre Lerche and performed their duet live for the first time! The video isn't very good, but they are both so lovely and their voices go together perfectly.
I have more pictures and videos from the concert if anyone are interested. :) Unfortunately she didn't have time to give autographs or take any pictures after the show, but I did get some ok shots of her and the band playing. |

Hello Spektorites!
Because I'm seeing Regina for the first time in five days ahhhhhh and am twitchy to a ridiculous degree, I wanted to indulge in Reginaisms with everyone here - I don't know nearly enough fans where I am!
If you had a Desert Island Discs scenario and could only manage with two of Regina's songs for the rest of your life, which ones would you choose?
Mine would have to be Oedipus, because it never, ever gets boring after so many listens, and possibly Folding Chair. The demo, though, rather than the album version.
How about everyone else? I'm genuinely curious to know - there's so much to choose from. |

| New Song! |
[Nov. 17th, 2009|11:40 am] |
Sorry for the spam, y'all. It took me a while to get the video edited and up. I feel more comfortable posting the new song now that I see other Regina fans have posted the other new one she's been doing this tour.
Here are the lyrics...
The piano is not firewood yet…
(missing parts)
…you’re not dying Everyone knows You’re going to live So we might as well Start trying
The piano is not firewood yet But the cold does get cold So it soon might be that We’ll take it apart Call up our friends Warm up our hands By the fire
Don’t look so shocked Don’t judge so harsh You don’t know You were only spying
Everyone knows It’s going to hurt But at least Get hurt trying
The piano is not firewood yet But a heart can’t be helped And it gathers regret Someday you’ll wake up And feel a great pain And you’ll miss every toy You ever owned
I want to go back…
(cut off – sorry!)
And you’ll wish That it was lying
(Something at the beginning of the instrumental part like “one two”)
Love what you have And you’ll have more love You’re not dying
Everyone knows You’re going to love Though there’s still no cure For crying
And here is the video:

| Regina at the Ryman! |
[Nov. 16th, 2009|10:53 pm] |
Hi everyone. Just got back from the Ryman show. I know you won't believe it, but I think we got a NEW SONG. Regina played it and dedicated it to a friend and his family. I recorded most of it, but I'm going to wait before I post it in case for whatever reason she doesn't want us to.
Here's the set list:
Calculation Eet Folding Chair Ode to Divorce Machine (band intro) Laughing With Once More With Feeling Blue Lips On the Radio Musical Interlude thingy Dance Anthem of the 80s Silly Eye Color Generalizations Bobbing for Apples That Time Apres Moi Poor Little Rich Boy Wallet
NEW SONG: Lyrics were something like "The Piano is not firewood yet...try to remember...heart beating". Again, I'll post the lyrics tomorrow. Unless it was a cover, in which case feel free to correct me!
Man of a Thousand Faces
ENCORE during which two drunk bitches in the front row were kicked out by four security members and Regina's manager. She'd asked them SEVERAL times to be quiet and they were ruining the show both for her and for us. THANK YOU to the Ryman security for getting them the heck out of there!
Samson Us Fidelity Hotel Song Love You're a Whore
And that was it! I think those girls were really bothering her, which bothered me, but she was still lovely, excellent Regina. This marked my 18th show - and I hope to get 18 more in there! |

| Regina in Dallas Tomorrow |
[Nov. 11th, 2009|08:10 pm] |
I'm going to the Dallas concert tomorrow!! It's my first time seeing her live, I'm so psyched. I hope no one in the audience is rollin' on E and being lame like someone talked about earlier. Does she stay after the show to meet fans?
Also, does anyone have the large version of the picture in my icon. I took the icon but failed to give credit to the maker and now I'm not sure where its from. If you made it or know who did I'd appreciate a source so I could give them credit.
Anyone else going tomorrow!? I'm up way near the front on the left side. See you there! |

I just got home from the Denver concert and Regina was INCREDIBLE (of course) despite quite a few jackasses in the audience. There was this guy right next to me who must have been on ecstasy or SOMETHING yelling, and juuuust as I was about to tell him to shut it, Regina stops dead in the middle of "Blue Lips" and says "Shut the fuck up" then picked right back up right where she left off, just like nothing had happened. And he DID, thank god. Love her. <3 |

It is possible her segment may get bumped to another day, but Regina is scheduled to be on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson tomorrow night. Not sure if there will be an interview or not...she may just be the musical guest.

| Two Ryman Tickets for Sale |
[Oct. 26th, 2009|01:10 pm] |
Hi all,
I used the presale to buy two fifth row seats for the Ryman show. I now have to get rid of them, as I bought two more slightly better seats (yes, I am insane). They are dead center, on the floor, row F. I am selling them off for $35 each instead of the $42 I paid for them.
The only catch is that I bought them will-call, so you will have to meet me at the venue so I can hand them over in person. I'd like to get there early enough to see the opener, and the Ryman doesn't let you go out and back in, so you'd have to be there early-ish as well.
If you're interested, please e-mail me at janet.catriona[at]gmail.com or reply to this thread. (Replace the [at] with @.) Thanks! |
