ANTINOMIE, the newest aural investigation by IMPULSANTWORT + PHARMAKUSTIK from Germany contains seven powerful circles of abandoned ambiences full of contradictory particles within the microorganic complexity. The involvement of granularly shredded machine-propulsions combined with thermonuclear freezing and the final analogue screams from the subterranean draught makes ANTINOMIE an outstanding result of thesis and antithesis. Plasmatic ambiences created from the pool of infinite randomness. "The source of the new is the random" (Gregory Bateson).

10:10 pm - ca283 - Daina Dieva, Svart1 - Incubi Succubi

clncl

Artist: Daina Dieva, Svart1
Title: Incubi Succubi
#ca283
Date: 2009-07-03
Keywords: dark ambient; post folk; industrial
Tracklist:
01 - Incubi Succubi - 24:58 (320 kbps)

A 25 minute piece "Incubi Succubi" was born as a live act by Svart1 (Sardinia-Italy) and Daina Dieva (Lithuania) for the opening of an exhibition of the painter Daniele Serra, and performed in an art gallery in Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy) on the 9th of December.
A common point of departure for this musical soundscape was the theme of the exposition - darkest nightmares. And so it flows wandering through post-folk, saturated in dark ambient and covered in the shelters of industrial, closing the circle with the post-folk chant again.
This peace is meant to be perceived as a soundscape for a moonlite night - closing the eyes under the sparkling path of the full moon and letting go of this world. A first phase of sleep is a handful of memories, feelings and illusions, the second phase - the heavy sleep - is a torture of nightmares, the third phase lets you rest in the dreamlands of childhood, while the fourth pushes back to suffering the darkest night hours. Finally the first rays of the sun enlighten the feverish dream and calls out to enchanted awakening.

7:08 pm - Heathen Harvest review of Endif - Carbon

squidb0i
http://www.heathenharvest.com/article.php?story=20090531192049698

" Carbon resembles a drug, pushing you for days on a binge, never stopping, never focusing, just moving and observing. Outside your mind is chaos, but inside and moving through your eyes, its perfection."

"Endif doesn't need overly abrasive sounds and thematics to sharpen his edge. Carbon retains the roots of rhythmic industrial while annihilating the stereotypes. If you're tired of the same old thing and want to listen to music that isn't concerned with what the scene thinks or following suit with other artists, then Carbon is for you. And its no surprise, as many of the artists on Tympanik Audio are continuing to break boundaries long after their initial stays on labels like Hive Records, Crunch Pod, and Ant-zen. That last sentence can even be seen as your basis. If you're a fan of most music from any one or all of those labels, then search this one out, because its a brilliant killer. "

4:02 pm - ca278 - H Stewart - Letters to Kansas City

clncl

Artist: H Stewart
Title: Letters to Kansas City
#ca278
Date: 2009-06-21
Keywords: experimental; ambient; lo-fi; other
Tracklist:
01 - Midtown - 3:29 (320 kbps)
02 - South Hyde Park - 3:21 (320 kbps)
03 - West 39th Street - 3:29 (320 kbps)
04 - Downtown - 3:02 (320 kbps)
05 - Crossroads - 3:29 (320 kbps)
06 - Loose Park - 3:59 (320 kbps)
07 - Troost - 2:59 (320 kbps)
08 - West Bottoms - 3:38 (320 kbps)

"We haven’t much in life, yet we have so much. It is strange how important the small things become. Letters to Kansas City is an ode to H Stewart’s hometown. The songs are written about Kansas City’s neighborhoods, their moods and memories according to H Stewart. The songs were made with a cheap Casio, a used microphone, and a laptop which houses odd programs for sound manipulations. Those things coupled with the memory of home H Stewart create a voiceless album drawing on how little and how much we have in life, and how important it is to be home."

5:16 pm - On copyrighted material...

rr
Hello, world. I'm sure none of you know me, but I'm your friendly laissez-faire moderator.

That said, I never intended or envisioned this community to become a place where entire copyrighted albums were posted without the permission of the artist. I'm fairly certain that the entire LiveJournal community frowns upon this type of action. I am personally a supporter of artistic freedom, and that includes the ability to profit from one's art.

The posts in question have no commentary whatsoever -- they are not reviews. They are simply complete works, in their entirety, posted up here in the community. (The person in question is also crossposting to their personal journal, so I'm sure this is not the only community that is seeing these posts.) To be honest, this is almost like community pollution -- the artist to produce this work has no connection to the community, therefore the content does not belong here.

Reviews of works like the ones posted would be more than welcome, as they allow our community to discuss them in detail. But as it stands, I am no longer going to allow the posting of material that is not fully owned by the individual posting, or fully in the public domain. (And if it is in the public domain, please consider making the post more than just an iTunes ready rip.)

I'm not going to go back and delete posts, because there are quite a number of them. If you are an artist who has had their work posted in this manner, I do recommend that you contact the LiveJournal support team. They can take actions that I cannot, such as permanent account bans. And like I said, I don't think we are the only community in which this is happening.

But this is the bottom line, from this point forward:

Copyrighted material that you do not own the rights to should not be posted to this community. It is permissible to use copyrighted material under the parameters of "fair use,"  (i.e. cover art for reviews, sound clips that are publicly available elsewhere) but to post an entire recording wholesale to this community is not permitted. Doing so will result in being banned from the community. This is the only rule here, but: You have been warned.
