So McCain has picked his VP candidate!
I would just like to take a moment to put up some awfully odd things about his pick, and why I think he did it.
First off, I think the biggest choice as to why he chose her was because she is a woman. There are alot of Hillary supporters who feel very bitter because Obama either did not choose her as his Veep Candidate, or because Obama beat her in general. Approximately 20% have been reported as to voting for McCain, and unfortunately, with this choice, I think that more former Clinton supporters will probably head that way simply because she is a woman. This is a calculated pick, however, there are many things wrong with this as well.
Sarah Palin was put into the Governor's office in December of 2006, she has less than 2 years of experience. John McCain is also very old, with pre-existing health conditions that could lead to an in-office death, which I think is a concern to many Americans as we begin the election season. Ronald Regan is practically worshipped with the Republicans, but on the other side, John Kennedy and Bill Clinton are also thought of to be gread Democrat presidents, and these conversing ideas certainly show up again and again between the two parties.
Enough about experience, Sarah Palin has also made many concessions for big businesses in her tenure, especially with a large Construction Company in Alaska. Alaska is also thought of as one of the most corrupt states in refrence to government, according to some who live there, such as Noah's family, who I spoke to.
She has also fired a the head of the Alaskan Public Safety board, and is in investigations for this currently.

Just a little bit of information I looked up about her once she was nominated. A Very calculated move, but I think that this just shows how McCain is actually scared of Obama's rhetoric and his promises. Also noteworthy is the fact that Obama chose Joe biden, but McCain went with the younger candidate, thus showing that both candidates are playing off of one another very heavily to try and make capital gains in November.

OH GEEZE BUSY WEEKEND IS BUSY. I wanna get as much done on Chibwees and beads and books done as possible tomorrow, and all art is suppose to be done on Saturday *Cough*. I'm also gonna teach bev how to get the buttons ready, which requires teaching some basic PS. Fuuuuun.
And I still haven't gotten a hold of Celebrity. And EVERYWHERE I applied is calling me back now (BTW work places "Are you hiring?" doesn't mean "Will you be hiring sometime in the next 6 months?")
And I'm so scared to get my tooth pulled. But everyone who knows me is probably happy.
AND I'm all like...excited to rp. With no time or energy to do it. WTfail. But Micheal got Joker at AT :D
Speaking of which, this conversation made me crack the shit up:

So today I bought the great book of doom talked about in my last entry. To answer a few questions.
- No, the book is not hardback.
- I do have enough of financial aid since I and my mother only make enough for beans. Plus some the additional funds I gained since I'm one smart(ass) cookie. >_>
- Supposedly part the reason for the increase in fees is related to the lack of funding at the state level.
But anyway I was standing in line waiting to pay for the damn thing, when I noticed a fellow about three people head of me. I stared for the longest (unknowing to him) I was studying his features, he had an uncanny resemblance to my friend, ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) maikeru_go! And if that was shocking enough, someone he knew walked up and called him, "Michael" and he responded to it! WTFBBQ

Almost everything for the new VDL is done :D It's just detail stuff now.
If you were a memeber of the old VDL (Or just interested in the game) and are interested in playing at the new one (Tho some things have been pretty heavily changed, it has more solid plot, some different rules, etc) go check ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) villedelumiere.
Old members have a week to either pick up their old characters, or apply for new ones. Those who were playing when Lu deleted the whole things have first dibs on their characters.
The new plot centers around the idea of fae pretty much playing a big game with everyone, which was my concept for VDL when I started the event, before it was nixed.
And in personal news I feel gross and yucky and wanna curl up in bed and cry for trivial reasons. UGH. Wtf.

So Ive been bored, while my lasagna is in the oven. Took a bunch of blogthings quizzes.
The summary of me according to these things supposedly is that:
I am a classic beauty, with a Bettie Page flare. To which guys think I'm hard to get, as I'm the furthest thing from easy. I'm proper, reserved, and even a little shy.
My primal needs like eating and sleeping are your top priorities. I don't mind having things to get done, as long as they don't pile up on me. My most important priorities get my attention. I am happily able to let the less important things slide. I wish my health to be a high priority, but I don't often get around to taking care of it.

Been trying to create a steampunk outfit and all.
A few days ago I found an old, unique jacket in my room, and yesterday I bought a little lovely vest. So I had the beginnings of this...
Anyway it seems I have misplaced a few key items. Like a red-patterned corset top that's really suppose to be in place of the vest. If you click the photo you'd see how it was going to be worn. Ironically it seems to nice like this too.
But I truly want to have more a noble/aristocrat adventurer type feel. And while I like the above I think I'd be pegged more pirate looking. I don't know, what do you all think? But I found top below. Bad quality I know, I had no help taking this one. But that is the true color of my blouse. It too is paired with my black tiered skirt (as the seen above), and I even have a wine tone flower in my hair; though its hardly visible here.
Still patrolling my local Target since last week in hopes to find they finally had these lovelies in stock. Well they still don't but I had ran to the Payless in hopes to find them there, but instead found these. So at least I'm not totally sunk shoe-wise.
With time short and money tight I am a bit lost as to more I could do as a major embellishment to this. I do have a few accessories, I'm currently making to help me out. But other than that...
Any suggestions?

Thus far good day is good.
First call of the day: MY SCHOOL HIRED ME as the representative for High Schools :D So I'll be helping at risk kids apply for school. And, possibly, if I don't work at Lane Bryant as well, giving tours of my school to get extra hours. I won't start till the 15th however.
Second call of the day: "Look at our product for 45 minutes an earn $100 in gas :D"

So my interview today went well. It was to work in my school as a liaison to at risk schools.
And I have the job interview at Lane Bryant tomorrow.
AND, the thing I really have to ponder on. About 3 weeks ago I saw a posting on MySpaces own craigs list thing advertising for a (I thought) paid apprenticeship at Celebrity Tattoo (one of the nicer Tattoo places around here) and, being use to craig's list (Where if it's on the front page it was posted 10 seconds ago) and then realized it'd been posted 2 months ago. And was like "Oh. Well maybe they'll e-mail me back with some feedback."
So I got a message today saying "Hey! Call this number for an interview, talk to this person, and bring your sketch book!"
BUT it's likely an unpaid apprenticeship. D:
BUT I would literally quit school if I could make it as a tattoo artist. It would be an amazing career and I've never felt better then when I've designed tattoos.
I dunno what to do D:
well. I should stop stressing and wait to get a hold of her.

I redid my layout. Nothin' fancy, but American Doll Posse is my favorite album of 2007 (to absolutely no one's surprise), and I figure I can leave up Tori raging about politics until this November. Of course, laziness says that this will probably last for the next year.
So, do you ever watch a TV show that is horrible because in your head you're fixing it? It's not so bad it's good, it's just bad, but there's this little seed there that you want to pry out of the dust and plant somewhere. I think it's the curse of all fanfiction writers to some extent. Anyway, I am still watching The Secret Life of the American Teenager, despite the fact that it's by the same person who created 7th Heaven. Gah. In my defense, the show features girl hugs and displays of sisterly devotion. ( More rambling about the show. Oh my god, I should be hiding my face in SHAME. )

I got the chibwee parts! So we now have the makings for 100 chibwees. These new parts are a bit different, I haven't played with them enough to know if it's better or worse. But either way it's a small difference so we're not like...fucked.
And so everything is officially bought for NDK :D
Who want to go to Ju's house To be slave labor for faeXfor a painting party? I'll try to do something again like last time where we bug everyone a meal or some than.
I'm also going to try to REALLY get things set up for NDK that we can take commissions year around and have a little pamphlet for it.
And so far the last day or work is trauma free :D

Actually been up for two hours or so now. The pains are sending me to tears and I only want to go back to sleep. Of course, no one online to talk to as theirs all sleep or heading there.
I'm steady looking into possibilities for this coordinating my current outfits, mostly for K-chan's skirt. But I realized there's a bit bigger of an issue, and as I think there's hardly anything I can do to remedy it; it makes me terribly sad.
I've been trying to work toward another lolita attire for while now. One for steampunk, and the other just breaking my self into more colors. I am trying to gain more classical colors, as majority of my wardrobe it based in black. Upon cleaning up my room I think I found (or rediscovered) a few pieces that may make a decent start for my steampunk theme.
I also am really wanting a underbust corset, but I've recently seen another I simply *must* have. But as its khaki toned stiff canvas/leather looking material I'm not very certain there's much to wear it with, it definitely would work with steampunk. But there's hardly much to where that too itself.
Apparently Trish Ramsay (my Metals and Fibers professor) has left, and I knew she would. I was very bothered with how she tried to pretend she wasn't going to move along with her husband and his new job. This leaves me out of two things: more courses for metal/fibers art emphasis and a adviser. I can always get a new adviser, but if there's no one to take over *at least* the Metals Department; I am going to be one very pissed bunny.
Along with Trish leaving I had learned a number of other professors left as well. The only main Ceramics professor, a number of 2D and Drawing I/II professors, as well as the only professor that offered upper level courses with Illustration emphasis. CSU's Art Studios Dept as of now is barren of all the good professors we loved. There's surely going to be another Art Convocation this year to introduce us to all the new professors.
I have nothing more to really yammer on about to attempt to distract myself from the pains.
