AboutIf you are getting tired of fandom stillness contests and want to do something new then you found the place. The concept is still the same but basically there are no fandoms defined. If it's a theme for the weeks challenge then guess what you can take any picture that fits the theme whether it is a stock photo, a screen cap from a movie or something like that and make it into an icon. We will post pictures for challenges as well but they will also be variety.
The one catch to all of this? No animation, stillness means a no go on the animation department.
So if you are interested in basically joining an icon contest like other icontests only it's stillness then join. Bring your many fandoms, bring your many interests because really this is not limited to anything.
Rules:
1. Your submissions must remain anonymous. Please do not post your submissions elsewhere before the contest is over, that means your personal journal and your icon journal.
2. Your submissions cannot be animated. Thats the whole point of stillness
3. Do not tell your friends to come and vote for you. That just defeats the whole purpose of a contest.
4. Do not vote for yourself.
5. All submissions must fit LJ standards [100x100 and 40k or less]
6. Don't steal from other people that submit. That's disrespectful and rude, ask them before you take their icon. If one of your icons was stolen report to us which person did it and we will most likely boot them from the community.
7. In a challenge, you can only place once.
8. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR ICONS SHOW UP BY THE DEADLINE. IF THEY ARE NOT SHOWING UP IT'S NOT OUR PROBLEM!
Submitting Icons:
1. At the start of each contest, we will make a post where you will submit your icon. Comments will be screened. Only submit them there we will not hunt your icons down.
2. Contests vary on rules on what you can do, some just have a theme, some will have pictures, the rules are going to vary!
3. When posting your submission please put the Image and the image url.
4. When submitting your entries, submit ALL of them in one comment. If you've already left a comment with your entries and you decide to submit another one, delete your comment and post a new one with all the entries. We LOVE your participation, but it's just easier for us to keep track of all the entries if you each keep yours altogether.
Submission deadline: Friday 6pm(EST)
Monday-Friday(6pm EST): Entries may be submitted
Friday(6pm EST)-Sunday(6pm EST): Voting
Sunday: Winners/New Challenge will be posted sometime in the evening, it may vary on when they get posted but will be posted on Sunday.
Banners will be posted when the mods can get to them, but they're usually posted less than a week after the results are announced.
Icons and Banners:
Along with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, each mod picks a Mod's Choice.
You don't have to ask for a banner. Every winner gets a banner.
