| About: | I wanted a new icon for myself, the lazy way...That is, created by someone else, who has better software for such a task...Sadly, icons that reflect my image (a black woman) are few and far between.
So, on a whim, I created this community. :-)
I see this place as a way to find all those, by comparison, rare icons of people, cartoons, and art of ethnic folks and their respective fandoms in one convenient place.
Even if you are not "of color" and have created some icons of a character/artist/actress/singer who is black/brown/red or yellow...
Feel free to post away. :-)

And please, check the rules:
1)Lj-cut and label your icons
2)Don't hate on anyone else's icon creation
3)If you use an icon, thank and give credit
4)If you post here, it is presumed that you are allowing others to use your icons...In other words, if you don't want folks using your icons, don't post 'em here.
5)Be creative, open-minded, and not vulgar and/or degrading...How that is defined is at my discretion. If I think it is, your post will be deleted.
6)Please, make icons featuring people/characters of color. Given that this is the community's namesake, I would think this would be obvious...Anyway, we can find white people/characters in the gazillion other communities. I would like this to be the place where we can finally find our image in abundance.
Yes, white people can be in your icons, as well, but Angelina Johnson has to be in there with Harry Potter, Selena has to be in there with Jim. Got it? Good. :-)
