I'm here to direct you guys to this new iconpost by no_delusion. There are just so many gorgeous icons in her batch and there's so much creativity in it. I realize I might be slightly biased as she could almost do no wrong in my book, but it's a truly amazing post. So I figured I had to post here to praise her gorgeous iconbatch and direct you guys to it.

These are just some examples of the post which is filled with much more pretty. And really, I'll let the examples speak for themselves.

I run three icontests, rockicontest, psychstillness, and pirates_hush, and every week I see some gorgeous icons posted in response to the challenges, so I thought I'd praise some of my favorites. There're about 80 icons total I want to post, so I'm going to split it into three posts, one for each icontest. Also, some of these iconmakers post beautiful icons every single week, so I just picked one by each maker.

I can't believe two of my favorite ladies haven't been represented yet! :D

iconzicons is the co-journal of RL twins ponyboy and mrbnatural. Chances are good that you've already seen some of their icons floating about (...I have quite a few, myself...:D).

Both of them have amazing skillllllz with cropping, coloring, text and COMEDIC TIMING. :D

mouthfullofdust @ thirdhex makes absolutely gorgeous vibrant icons, she always finds the most obscure scenes and brings out the prettiness in them. I love the way the icons are both simple and complex at the same time. She also manages to have the most creative cropping I've ever seen, she always finds a perfect crop even with the toughest caps. I cannot praise her enough like seriously ::bows down at the awesomeness::

If you're a Doctor Who fan and you haven't found superheroine's icons yet, you are missing out. She makes the arguably best icons in the fandom at hazelsparkle. :3

this girl has an amazing sense of humor which often shows through in her icons (omg, check out her animated icons. THEY WIN.). her usage of textures is both funky and amazing, and her text is so creative.

she knows how to make crisp, clear icons as well as crazy ones too, and I fucking love that about her. her text is always so different and inspiring and none of her icons look like anyone else's to me.

Spelled Just Like Escape

This (+) batch by intodelirium is inspiring. She iconed every episode of each season of Farscape for i_episode. I don't remember how I got to that post, but when I did I bookmarked it right away. To this day it's one of the few icon batches I go to for inspiration. Even though the icons are pretty simple, I don't think there are any textures, the cropping is superb and the colors are vibrant. All in all this batch does Farscape justice.

I don´t share any of the fandoms but the creativity and originality especially in these
examples are just astounding, they have a very own and distinctive style.
The coloring and composition gripped me the most since the colors are very
expressive and perfectly fit to the almost poetic feeling of these icons.

If you're ever bored of seeing cookie cutter icons, and want some frakking inspiration head on over to navras_rheya's lj where you can find some of the most creative icons on lj.

The coloring can't be matched by ANYONE, and he captures emotion like a killer radiohead song. He also does things NO ONE else is doing, and it is always brilliant..if you haven't checked out his work-it is so your loss. ♥ !!!

I'm a huge sucker for b&w icons, but it's not easy to find good ones - most of the time, they're just cropped, and sharpened, and maybe with the usual light / grain textures.

Which is why I decided to post icons from a few of my favourite b&w iconmakers - some of them have been praised already, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to post their b&w icons other than their usual ones. (:

kokoromonster One of my favourite icon makers, and her stuff is AMAZING, srsly, very gorgeous and abstract-looking. <3

exotsia similar in style to kokoromonster, also an amazing iconnist. <3

I just joined this community and I have so much icon love to spread, but I shall begin with my absolute favourite iconmaker of all time...

I have three goals in iconmaking:
1. to make several icontest communities in which people actually submit entries.
2. to be the motm at icon_crack.
3. to make icons exactly like these.
I mean, how on earth are these icons made? With magic? I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they were. If somebody was to reply to this comment saying "oh yeah, there's actually a tutorial on how to make these... but there's a catch... you have to be a wizard to do it" I wouldn't even gasp.
