Selective Coloring in PSP 8?

Hey everyone! Just had a quick question, hopefully someone will be able to help.

I'm using PSP 8, and I'm trying to complete a coloring tutorial used in PS. So far I have been able to translate all but one of the steps. There's a step that involves "Selective Coloring" and I can't find this under my Adjustment layers. If there is a way to do this is PSP, or something similar, any advice would be very appreciated!

Thank you!

Unfortunately, PSP 8 doesn't have selective coloring. I think the closest possible way would be playing around with Curves, but it still doesn't get the same outcome as Selective Coloring.

I wish I could be of more help, but I've been avoiding any tutorials with Selective Coloring and so I haven't really experimented with alternate methods or anything.

I've found using a hue/saturation/lightness adjustment layer can help a little. Just select the channel you want from the list at the top and up the saturation.

Thanks for the info guys! I'll give the HSL layer a try. It's too bad though, this coloring is awesome.

Wish I had photoshop!

I would actually suggest to try to get a similair effect with color balance. it can be found under layers>>new adjustment layer>>color balance.
It is fairly easy to use and it will get you a selective coloring effect. It will not be exactely the same, but really close.
