Welcome to Icon Textures. This community was created for textures used for making icons. Since this community is only for posting textures, texture makers are the only ones who will be given posting access. If you are a texture maker and want posting access, follow the instructions in this post.

Please follow the rules. Breaking any of them will result in our deleting your post. If we have to delete more then one of your posts, we will revoke your posting access. This and the deletion of your post is the only warning you will receive.

Rules for posting:

1. You must join the community in order to have posting access, not just friend it. Posting access is moderated, and you must apply to be able to post. Your application must include a sample (preview image, etc.) or link to a sample of your textures.

2. This community is only for posting textures. Please do not post just bases, brushes, gradients, stock images, or questions on how to make or use textures. There are other communities for those. You may include these things in your post, so long as there are textures with it.

3. Please only make a single post per day. If you have multiple texture sets to post, place them all in a single post, or post them on different days. If you do put multiple sets in a single post, only one (1) preview image is permitted. Previews for the rest of the sets must be under a cut.

4. A preview must be no larger than 400 pixels on its longest side. If it is larger, place it behind a cut.

5. Please do not use www.yousendit.com. These expire in 7 days or 25 downloads, whichever comes first. If you need space, check out other ways to transfer files, like maxupload or DeviantArt, or you could Google it and see what you can find.

6. Links to textures must be publicly available (ie, not friends-locked). Members must be able to simply click to the download area and obtain the textures without requiring membership, being friended, or logging in to access them.


Posts that break ALL or almost all of the rules will not just only be deleted, but the poster will also be removed from posting access. In this case, you must re-apply and if I feel that you understand the rules, I may re-instate your access. If you break the rules again, not only will posting access will be revoked, but you may loose membership also.

Also: please include a short description of your textures (fractals, grunge, metal, etc). This will help when organizing the memories and save all of us a lot of headache.
