Radial Blur Light Tutorial // Photoshop 7+

This tutorial is for those who know where everything is, some things will be explained to you. We will start from a 800x600 canvas and you can resize later on to whatever you want.

We'll be making this:

This is my way of making my radial blur light textures that a lot of people seem to like ^-^

I find this way easier.
[ 1 ] . Open a black canvas of 800x600, make sure the background is black.
[ 2 ] . Now go to FILTER -- RENDER -- LENS FLARE , add as many flares you want to one side or the middle, play with the brightness when adding lens flares every time. I usually add four to the middle. and add all different types of lens flares.
[ 3 ] . Alright now you have added them, time to 'distort' them. Go to FILTER -- DISTORT -- POLAR COORDINATES -- and choose Rectangular to Polar and click okay.
[ 4 ] . Eh, it looks fugly so what I did was go to FILTER -- DISTORT -- TWIRL and put in 427% and clicked okay.
[ 5 ] . I got more of a twirl but I wanted more so I did the twirl again with the same settings and got what I wanted. You can play with whatever you want until you get what you want.
[ 6 ] . New Layer -- Set it to over lay and choose a Gradient and use it. I used a reddish green gradient and liked my results.
[ 7 ] . Well, if you want to make it a 100x100 icon texture just resize it :]. Resize to whatever size you want. You can also do this tutorial with a 100x100 canvas ^-^. I just decided to go big because well, it's easier to see and this is my final product ( i resized it to 200x200 )

I hope you liked it, please if you use this credit my tutorial :] So I know you liked it. And comment and show me what you made ^^ . Do not post my tutorial anywhere else without my permission. Yuo may ask to post it as long as you ask me.
