ice_slash, a community where we are into the rarest of beasts: Figure Skating RPS and everything related to it. Please take a moment to go over our rules. What is RPS?
RPS stands for Real Person Slash; it's fiction about real people, usually actors, popstars or famous athletes (in our case, famous figure skaters). The authors adopt the public persona of the celebrities in question as their own characters and build a fictional universe based on the real-life histories of their idols, using information from interviews, documentaries, etc. (from reference.com)
The keywords here being "fiction" and "fictional". Unlike the yellow press, we do not claim that any of the stories we come up with ever happened. They're the product of our imagination.
ice_slash rules (no pun intended):
1) As long as it's related to figure skating and slashy, you may post pretty much anything. Think Alexei Yagudin looks totally gay when humping the ice in "Overcome"? Share that sentiment with us! Got links to articles about our heroes that are full of slashy subtext? Post 'em!!
2) When posting fanfiction, write a disclaimer where you elaborate why it's called "fiction" ("I made it up! None of this ever happened!").
3) There are some great skating/skater photographers out there with terrific pictures of the skaters on their private websites. Here's the deal: You may post links to their pictures all you want. BUT, if you alter their photos, for LJ icons or slashy manips and want to share these with us, you MUST friends-lock the entry. The people who travel from skating event to skating event are understandably VERY protective of their original photographs and we don't want to piss them off by too happily tampering with their work. Especially not when our tampering proposes that the skaters they know personally must all engage in hot gay sex.
4) Pictures, articles, long rants and fiction should go under a cut.

5) Because of new laws I've to make sure that you credit every picture you post here (or video). Make sure to post the name of the people who made the material you're using! This doesn't count for pictures you post in your journal and link to us. In that case it's totally your responsibility. Every user is responsible for the material he/she posts here.
