Here's a 1994 segment from House of Style about Kim Gordon's clothing line X-Girl. Sofia was one of the people who helped organize the fashion show for it. X-Girl is notable in the world of Sofia because it's what inspired her to start Milk Fed.

i'm sure were all fascinated by her beauty routine. i'll never forget that photograph of her medicine cabinet in Paris Vogue.that was my favorite part of that entire issue. usually a no no but it was like she gave us permission to snoop. i wish they'd integrate that aspect into all of their un fille un style subjects.

I don't know if anyone's noticed this before, but in the Spike Jonze directed Beastie Boys video "Sure Shot," there's a picture of Sofia Coppola and (what looks like) Stephanie Hayman that goes by really quickly. I wouldn't have even noticed it, but I was scanning through the video it flashed really quickly. Kinda cool little thing Spike probably just did for himself. The full video is after the cut.

LEIBOVITZ IN THE CITY OF LIGHTS: Annie Leibovitz and Louis Vuitton cohosted a private inauguration of her retrospective, "A Photographer's Life, 1990-2005," Monday night at Paris' Maison Européenne de la Photographie (European House of Photography). The show moves between portraits of public figures from the entertainment and political arenas and poignant snaps from Leibovitz's private photo album. Sofia Coppola, Kanye West and Audrey Marnay mingled among the event's arty crowd, joined by Mischa Barton and Giambattista Valli.
