Welcome to Hueco Mundo RP!

The following information will help you decide whether or not you would like to take part in this RP and tell you how to go about joining. First off, it should be mentioned that this is a Bleach-only RP. It is AU in the sense that it explores the things that take place in Hueco Mundo whilst other events are happening in the background. These may include canon and non-canon events. Hence, the vast majority of this place will take place in Hueco Mundo and center around the characters who reside there, though there are a few possible exceptions. For background on the game thus far, with links to the logs, take a look at the timeline and the archives.

General Rules:

1. Be nice and polite to other people. This is all meant to be fun, and the best way to have it stop being fun is to have people fighting with each other. We will be very happy to avoid that! If there is a serious problem, please bring it up with one of the mods, and we will try to work out the best possible resolution for everyone.

2. This is a roleplay based on canon. However, players are welcome and encouraged to amplify the backstory of their characters, as well as flesh out interactions between the characters. There is much left open to interpretation within the history/off-screen actions of the characters, and any logical amplification of that which we do not know is welcome. For the most part, the rules of the canon universe will apply. Any exceptions should be approved by the mods prior to their introduction into the game.

3. Try to stay in character. Lots of Bleach characters aren't given a ton of development, so there is a lot of room for people to create their own interpretations of characters, which is great, as long as you don't stray from what is known. Try to stay true to the defining characteristics of the character that you're playing even as their situation changes, so that they're recognizable as themselves. Characters are certainly allowed to grow and progress within the plot, but please avoid anything too insane. (i.e., Aizen should not spontaneously decide to change his wicked ways and spend his life handing out daisies to all of his subordinates)

4. No god-modding. In other words, please do not control someone else's character or do something to someone else's character without their permission. That wouldn't be fair or fun for that person.

5. Anything over the course of a character's canon appearance is fair game in the future of the RP if things work out that way. That means that spoilers may appear from time to time.

6. Follow posting order within the logs. People who are joining the log may come in at any given point in the order, but once the order is established, please follow it. If you want to skip over someone, please get permission (from them or from the mods if you can't reach them). Tags should be written in third person past tense.

7. Logs can happen in one of two ways. They can either be done off of the comm. (e.g., via AIM or e-mail) and then posted in their entirety, or they can be written in posts/replies on the community. All forms are welcome, though for larger logs, posting to the comm. may be much easier. Let the mods know what you've got in progress either via e-mail, messenger, or on the OOC comm. so we can keep track of everyone's activty.

8. Try to post regularly to the logs in progress on the community if your character(s) is involved in one. We'd generally like people to post within four days of it being their turn in a log. If this is consistently a problem, then there will be consequences (one warning, and then removal from the game if the problem persists).

9. This RP is het-, yaoi-, and yuri-friendly. It will also very likely involve adult content. Please do not join if seeing these things will make you uncomfortable.

10. To go on hiatus, request approval from the mod first (please do not just disappear). Players who vanish for great lengths of time may be removed from the game.

11. Place all logs in the main community. Use the OOC community for anything else. (Introductions, suggestions, questions, hiatus announcements, etc.)


Specifics Rules for Application:

1. All character applications go here. Follow the instructions listed on the application page exactly.

2. A list of taken characters is presented below. You are not able to apply for any taken characters. You may apply for any named character who resides in Hueco Mundo by choice. You may also request permission from the mods to apply for some other character if you can present a good rationale for how they will come to reside in Hueco Mundo (e.g., Kira is persuaded by Gin to go there and is taken back by him). Obviously, some characters are more subject to persuasion than others, and this will be a factor. You may apply for characters which are on hold, but please be advised that they are on hold because an application is expected from another source in the near future (and thus no decision will be made until the hold time expires or the application is received), and the person who placed the hold has priority. On occasion, we may have outside characters abducted or entering Hueco Mundo on the offensive. Feel free to suggest/request/volunteer to bring these characters in and play them in the OOC comm. We don't want a constant influx of intruders, but every now and then having visitors will help to keep things exciting.

3. At this time, a maximum of three characters is allowed per player.

4. You are allowed to place one character on hold for up to seven days. After that time expires, the hold is void. A reservation does not automatically give you a character, it just buys you a little extra time to apply.

5. Please put some effort into the applications. We will be using this to try and determine your writing abilities and how well you grasp the character.

6. Use your personal LJ for applications. For gameplay, you can use your personal journal or a character journal (though please do give me the name of a character journal if you plan to use it so that I know it's you).

7. Once you are approved, join this community. Also join huecomundo_ooc for the OOC discussions. You may also wish to join the message board, which can also be used for logs. All logs will be placed in the huecomundo community.
