I have that post-bronchitis cough, plus an ear infection, so I just skimmed over the memorable entries for ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) howto, but I didn't see anything about coding for profiles.
I have a text area on my profile, but it doesn't allow formatting like it does here:
Ugh, I can't believe I didn't see this before. This text area isn't allowing me to format my font. I have no idea why I thought it did. I mean, it does if I am making a web page, but not here, let alone my profile. So just ignore the question about the text area.
In fact, ignore this entire post. My question was answered in another community. LJ profiles don't allow style tags. Darn it. ]:

You don't need to know the codes I use to figure out why it won't work, because I know they work, hence the text area and the div box above. They just don't work on my profile.
Sorry about that. Being sick tends to make me stupid. *sheepish* I have no idea what I was thinking when I wrote that you didn't need the code. *facepalm*
I want to know if there is a box code out there that lets me format my font and allows scrolling, and works on my profile.

I like the theme, but I want everything centered
for example if you look at the september 15 entry
you'll see that the picture and the text underneath it are just aligned to the left
Can someone fix it?

Hi!
I was making myself a new profile today but there's something that keeps bugging me. Between the header and the rest of the table is a lot of space and I can't seem to fix it.
First I tried the header aside from the table but that didn't work out. When I put it inside the table there's a big border around it, or the text runs against the sides of the table. Now it's in his own table but there's still that space that's driving me crazy..
I hope anyone can help me out! Any help is greatly appreciated =)

hey i'm a new member with a question for setting up my personal website
for my new layout, i have a background image which will span the entire page. on the left side there will be what i suppose has to be an IFRAME, containing links. and on the top there will be a header with the name of the site. I dont want this image or the links to change, only the main page will change content. here is an image of the layout i'm envisioning.

my question is, can i put multiple Iframes in a page, and if so, what is the code? i've tried changing my regular frame html content to say Iframe but obviously this is wrong.

I got a LJ layout from estiloamor, which I like however I'm trying to tweak the CSS as i'm not happy with the link hovers.
My CSS is here.
What i'm not happy with is I want the links in entry text to hover with a border and background, and i've put that in at the top of the style sheet. However this has an effect on all the links!
Which part of the style sheet do I put in the CSS in order to only affect the entry text?
Also which part codes for the link hovers?
Sorry if this is obvious, I had the same LJ layout for years so I'm out the loop! Plus, I've only just switched to S2.

now my people are unable to post comments on my blog.
i've tried everything.. but i'm not very good with html.

I've noticed people having a hyperlink that will skip down their entry page a little bit, it's like an lj-cut except...it's a hyperlink.
It's probably an easy fix {I'm hoping} but I was wondering how?

how do i make it so when i make a cut it isn't with my layout? like...so it has the white background and my pictures arnt resized. i don't know if that makes sense, but if anyone can possibly help me ill explain it better.
it happens when someone has a basic account, but i have a paid account, and i'd like it to be like that.

I've written a LJ entry that contains multiple images. I've used the <img src="http://image.jpg align="left/right"> code and it doesn't work in Firefox. It works in Internet Explorer, however. Is this a Firefox thing or a LJ thing? Is there another code I can use to wrap the text around the images? Thanks!

Hello. I was wondering if anyone here could help me with what seems like a small problem but is probably more complicated than I realize.
Previously I was using a 600 by 800 resolution and everything fit where it was supposed to fit on my journal. Then I got a new laptop and I now realize on my 1440 by 990 screen that the text is way off from the box it's supposed to go in (also the same case scenario for screens that are 1280 by 768)
The problem is I get it to fit on one resolution, but then it does not work on another. I'm wondering if there is a way to make it fit no matter what or if I'd be better just making it right on one screen (probably the 1280 by 768 since I think more people use that size).

Hey there! I'm coding a table and I'm having a little problem. The table width itself is 250, and I'd like the left column to be 25% of that, and the right to be 75%. However, when I try to enter that (or 50px and 200px), I get what looks like this:

Hey Everyone,
for future reference, is there a way to search for questions already answered from this community? Sorry if this is a duplicate, couldn't find anything.
Anyways, my question about is html in livejournal communities. I want my community (live link: wwbdplayground) to lose all the html for entries.
Example: oc_ca_slash. If you click the friend-only subject tag, it goes to the entry and that doesn't have the html of the front page. It's just white.
Does anyone know how to do that?

hey there...
i'm actually pretty fluent in html but i've never worked with embedded videos before. i'm basically just tired of youtube and want to embed my fanvids directly from my website. so i designed a test page, but the vids simply never start. they're perpetually in 'video loading' mode. i thought maybe it was because the vids are about 30MB each, but I tried a 5mb vid and it never loaded then, either. so i'm guessing it's a code issue that i'm just missing.
any help would be greatly appreciated! Code and links under the cut.
