In Game Prefects and Head Girl/Boy [ 11/28/05 - 12:04 am ] ledbylove As you all know, in HP canon, there are prefects in each house and a head boy and girl for the whole school. We'd like to assign these titles to characters within the game, much in the style of Dumbledore. As a prefect, your character has the ability to take points or tattle to a teacher if they catch another character misbehaving. As the player of a prefect of head boy/girl, we ask that you notify the mods if you see any wrong doing on the part of another player. Please understand, also, that you will not be given special treatment as an in-game leader, but rather we are looking to you to be examples and to know and follow the rules of this community. Here are our preliminary choices for in-game prefects. If your character was chosen and wishes to decline, let us know in a comment. If your character was not chosen and you wish to apply for an open slot, send us an email to hrplottable@gmail.com and tell us why your character would make a good prefect. September 1, 2005 [ 11/13/05 - 11:09 pm ] plottable_paper   Hogwarts High Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry welcomes back students with the arrival of the Hogwarts Express today, which has received a tune-up and a fresh coat of paint over the summer. The school is proud to have some new teachers this year, and Headmaster Henson had the following to say; “We cheerfully welcome back our students and look forward to the new year. There is a great deal of promise in both students and teachers this year, and I suspect this year will be one of our finest. The school is prepared and excited for the return of its older students, and the arrival of the new.” The Daily Prophet gives out its best wishes to the students of Hogwarts.   British Primal Tour The Witch and Wizard band Primal Potion will be touring Britain this fall, with stops all around the country over the next three months. The Race is on! A broom race or charity will be held next weekend outside Canterbury. [ 11/10/05 - 11:51 pm ] plottable_paper   Delayed Delivery at the Apothecary Sets Some Students Back Reports have surfaced indicating that there was a brief mix-up with shipping a fresh order of essence of Belladonna to the Apothecary this week. The delay in shipment comes at a particularly difficult time, as the ingredient is a part of the standard potion-making kit for Hogwarts students. The Manager on staff had this to say; “Rest assured, the essence of Belladonna was received in plenty of time to make the requirements for the students at Hogwarts. In addition, we are sending a portion free of charge to the school for those students unable to return for it.” Though Belladonna is poisonous, the essence is essential for a number of standard potions students at Hogwarts are required to brew. The shipping company had no comment on the mix-up.   Pygmy Proliferation Pygmy Puffs have proven a very lucrative operation for the Menagerie in Diagon Alley, nearly selling out as the students arrive before classes. We'd like to have as many teacher characters as possible when we begin roleplaying classes in a week! IMPORTANT MOD POST: PLEASE READ: POSTING ORDER [ 11/9/05 - 10:50 am ] ledbylove No official warnings will be given out, because the Diagon Alley threads are mostly practice threads, but please make sure you are watching the posting order, because I have noticed some characters being skipped in a thread. Remember that unless THREE DAYS have passed since their last comment, you may not puppet or skip any character in a thread you are roleplaying in without getting their permission. This means that is person A and B and posting to each other and person C jumps into their thread, those 3 must keep that new posting order and so on as each new character joins the thread. If you want to roleplay with characters in an existing comment thread, post to that thread after the most recent comment. If you don't want to be part of what those charracters are RPing, start a new comment thread within the post to keep your thread separate from theirs to avoid confusion and avoid having to wait for their posts. It is very important that we observe this rule, because not everyone is online at the same time and we don't want the action speeding ahead of them while they are off working or sleeping or what have you.
