HPSINGLE is an icon challenge community that was started on August 24, 2004. Sure everyone's heard of icon/graphics challenges, but this is for single characters ONLY. This means icons featuring more than one character are not allowed. Any character may be featured on your icon, but it may only feature
one. The challenge post will have the guidelines for that specific challenge. Since, the contest is completely anonymous, we(
ventanilla and
zerohundred) may enter the challenges. Voting is usually done through a poll, but will occasionally be done through comments. We will unscreen the votes after the challenge, if voting is done through comments. Things will change occasionally, but we'll be sure to keep you guys up to date on the rules! Please, read the rules and instructions for entering the challenges below!
>>>RULES:
01) Your icon must of ONE character. That's the point of this challenge.
02) You may only enter one icon per challenge. Unless otherwise stated.
03) Icons must meet the Livejournal requirements(under 40 kb and 100x100)
04) Don't post your icon for public use until the contest is over.
05) Read the challenge specific rules and follow them.
06) Please, post the URL under your icon. It makes it easier on us.
07) Don't vote for your own icon.
08) State whether or not you want a banner made for you if you win, when you comment with your icon!
09) Make a new icon for the challenge. Don't post one you made a long time ago.
10) Please, submit all you entries(if you are allowed to enter more than once) in the same comment. It's easier for us to keep track of!
11) Don't put your username in the filename of your icon. We want this to be anonymous!
12) DO NOT steal entries and use them on your journal. Wait until the challenge is over and then ask the maker!
13) DO NOT use bases made by other icon makers. In other words don't take a base, slap text on it, and enter it in the challenge.
14) No using images of actors OOC, unless it is an
actor challenge! This means don't use images of Daniel Radcliffe unless he is as Harry Potter. An exception is made for Ginny or other characters that have not yet been cast since there are so few images available. This means you can use images of Bonnie Wright for Ginny.

>>>HOW IT WORKS:
1) We will post the challenge.
2) You will make an icon according to what is provided for you.
3) Comment with the entry and the URL on the post that has the challenge in it. The comments will be screened so only you and I will be able to see your comment. It's your responsibility to host your icon/graphic and make sure it's working. If you are unable to host it, email the icon to me(at ventanilla@ livejournal.com) and I'll host it during the challenge.
4) We will make a post containing all of the entries. You guys will vote on your 3 favorites. We will also post the next challenges.
5) We'll post the winners you chose and a mod's choice.
