For the purposes of this community, 'rare' means any pairing that is not Ron/Hermione, Harry/Ginny, Harry/Hermione, Draco/Hermione, or Snape/Hermione. This is because they are popular pairings that already have many communites and sites devoted to them. However, m/f/m and m/f/f threesomes that contain any of the above pairings are permitted. Stories may contain slash/femslash/popular het pairings as long as a rare het pairing is the main focus of the fic.
As well as posting fic, you may also post recs, discussion, polls, challenges, and anything else relating to Harry Potter rare het. You may plug communities/sites relating to Harry Potter rare het or specific rare het pairings.
