hposcars is now open to the submission of works of fanfiction, fanart, icons and journal layouts which will later be considered for nomination in an official category.
The 1st ever Harry Potter Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, March 5, 2006.
Rules: There will be 3 phases of the selection process including official presentation of the awards on March 5.
The first, is the open submission process where you, the members of the public come in. You will submit the story, layout design, icon or artwork to be considered for nomination within a het or slash category.
For example: Best Romance (be it drabble, one-shot or novel length) of a Het or Slash Category. You will vote or provide us, the moderaters, with the story/stories completed in 2005 that you consider the best. You may provide more than one fic.
The second phase determines the nominees, which is based upon the 5 most voted upon items in a category.
For example: of the 10 stories (a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i and j) within the Romance category, stories a, c, d, g and j were the 5 most selected and therefore will be the nominees.
After this, the community will be closed and the third phase of the selection process will commence. On March 5, 2006, the winners will be announced.
Finally, the work, even if started before 2005, had to have been completed no later than December 31, 2005. No exceptions, please.
