2. Challenges can only be claimed only twice:

   ONCE as a FIC and ONCE as ART.

3. You can only claim one fic challenge and one art challenge at a time. If you have already claimed a challenge and posted your entry, you can then claim a second challenge for a fic and/or artwork. If you finished and posted your second challenge, you can then claim a third, and so forth.



4. You must be 18 years or older to submit an entry that is rated NC-17/x/18/Mature. Any characters involved in a NC-17/Mature-rated scene must be at least 18 years old. When claiming your challenge, please provide your date of birth. Comment in the claiming post or email your birthdate to ficafest[AT]gmail.com.



5. You can claim a challenge for FIC or ART up until November 31, 2008.

1. Stories must have a minimum word count of 500 words. There is no maximum. Feel free to write to your heart’s content.
   

   NOTE: Fanfiction may be one-shots, chaptered fics, or three to seven part stories, for example. However, previously written fics or new chapters of a non-ficafest WIP are not permitted.

2. All artwork and fanfiction are due by November 31, 2008. Late submissions are discouraged but accepted.



3. Please do not archive/post your fic or art anywhere else until after your fic or artwork is posted in the ficafest community.



4. Be sure to have your fics beta read before submitting them. You can use this post to volunteer or request a beta.



5. Stories rated G to NC-17 are accepted. Please rate your fic or artwork appropriately and add warnings, if applicable. Warnings can include other ships, a character death, explicit sexual scenes, slash, and so forth. Characters in an NC-17/Mature scene must be at least 18 years old.



6. Icons used for the submitted entry must be work safe.



7. All submitted entries must follow the templates, posted below. An entry that does not comply with these rules will be rejected from the moderation queue accompanied by a short explanation for the reasons of the deletion. Once these changes have been made and the entry has been fixed, you can resubmit your entry.
