Infinitus needs YOU! We are looking for volunteers in a number of areas. If you are planning to register or are already registered to attend Infinitus then take a look at the list below to see where you might best help make Infinitus spectacular!!!
- Formal Programming is looking for Prefects to help with the programming rooms.
- Informal Programming needs witches, wizards or just muggles to man the Common Room!!
AND - Do you have a dancing background or just love to dance? The Informal
Committee is looking for a few dancers for a very special segment! Dancing
background is a plus, but is not necessary. Just requires a willingness to learn!
- Ever dream of being a Hit-Witch/Wizard? If so then you need to join the Infinitus Security Team!!!!
- Sponsorship & Vendors Committee is in need of volunteers who can help man the vendor room.
- The Decorations Committee can use some more crafty hands!
- Our Children’s Track program could use help providing fun for our younger HP fans at Infinitus!
*Note: this will require a background check.
- Have an interest in Public Relations. Ask about the SQUEE Squad. The PR Team needs help to spread the word in your home towns. (especially GA, SC, FL, AL)
- The Infinitus Art Gallery Committee has a need for volunteers for the gallery room!
And if you have some background in Art then the gallery might be able to use you for Art vetting.
If you are interested in Art vetting please fill out an application & make a note that
you are interested in a vetting position.
- The AV committee needs volunteers who are knowledgeable in the workings of a/v setup such as setting up mics, connecting audio and the like. Some experience is helpful, but not entirely necessary. Please list your availability on the application. A volunteer or two may be needed pre-conference (July 13/14) , as well as after event is over that Sunday for dismantling of equipment.
- If you love volunteering and just want to be involved, then the Volunteer Committee
could use your help! We need volunteers, too!!
If you are interested in helping out with any of these positions, just fill out an application, found here: http://www.infinitus2010.org/
Send application and any questions to Christine, Volunteer Coordinator at volunteers@Infinitus2010.org

A few guidelines:
* No larger than 8.5 x 11" in finished digital form, or at least 300 dpi
* The artwork and text must be rated PG-13 or lower
* If your submission is for a screen-printed design, please keep it to three or fewer colors (other than the color of the shirt), but if your submission is for a transfer, you can use as many colors as you wish.
* Artwork should include the following elements: the word "Infinitus" and the event dates (July 15 - 18, 2010)
* Any characters included in the art should not be identified by name. We strongly encourage using generic magical creatures and characters if you wish to incorporate people.
* Do not use any of the official “Wizarding World of Harry Potter” artwork.
Submissions will be accepted until midnight (EST) December 30, 2009 at tshirtcontest@infinitus2010.org. Any questions can be forwarded to that address as well.
The artist who submits the winning design will win a ticket for the Keynote Lunch of his or her choice at Infinitus. You do not have to plan to attend Infinitus, or be registered, to enter the contest - if you win, you can give your prize to a friend who is attending.

The film follows celebrity bad boy teen wizard Harvey Putter as he discovers through his headmaster at Snogwarts School of Witchcrap, Professor Mumblemore, that they are all merely fictitious characters in a best-selling children’s book. Harvey and his best friends—"poor witch trash" kid Rod Cheesely and the brainy Hernia Grunger--are tasked with collecting seven magical books known as "Hortexts" in order to escape the book world before the final chapter.
In addition to the film, the filmmakers will be hosting a panel with a Q&A session about the journey it took to make the film. You can learn more about the film and watch video clips from the film on their website. Stay tuned to www.infinitus2010.org for future details about the screening and panels.
Remember, you have to be registered for Infinitus to gain access to all of our formal programming events. Click here to register.
