I would like to thank ll24ever, myagedparchment and thescarletwoman for being pinch hitters for one assignment. I would also like to thank beba_cura for being a pinch hitter for one assignment. However, due to her original giftee pulling out, her original gift will have been for the group and with problems on the other end, she discarded doing her original gift and focused on her pinch hitting assignment. So, although it looks like she did one assignment, she did pinch hit so good on you, girl!

I recieved three comments from dementeddesire for a post on here and the manner of them makes me think that someone has revealed themselves before the FINAL master list is posted. Now dementeddesire is not on the final master list but people change their LJ names all the time and the user may not have notified me.

Well, that’s it. Every single gift has been posted and here is the anonymous master list. Out of the 50 original assignments, sadly only 39 made it to the fest. The others never surfaced due to quite writers/artists which is a shame but what can you do. Four more assignments were brought up thanks to some generous artists so thanks for that.

There have been some difficulties since the fest started (especially last summer when someone complained that they didn’t like their assignment which meant me having to reassign almost everyone, and the sad thing is that the person who complained did not even say she had to eventually complain about that. I had to hear it from one of her friends). Anyway, despite the obstacles, the fest went a lot smoother like I thought (much smoother than siriusisnotdead) so thanks to everyone for making it so. I have some more apologies and thanks to make but I will do that on the final master list (which will be posted this coming Sunday).

In the meantime, look at the list, see if there are any gifts you may have missed and enjoy yourself reading/looking at the gifts.

Here’s a little task for you all. I came out of fic writing retirement to pinch hit because a pinch hitter let me down on a fic so I decided to do it. I would like to thank everyone who reviewed the fic in question. It gave me confidence and made me see I have not lost the writing touch (although I’ll admit I’m not as good as other writers). Hiya

A long-awaited gift has finally come in and as for the other, since I have not heard from the writer for 6 weeks, I have decided to give up hoping. The person’s gift will be posted as a group gift, under the request of the writer. Now I can finally give dates to how the rest of the fest will be mapped out:

10th January- 15th January- one gift will be posted daily
16th January- the ANONYMOUS master list will be posted so you can catch up on gifts you haven’t seen yet. All gifts are public so anyone can see them
20th January- the FINAL master list will be posted. As soon as the list has been posted, you are allowed to post your work in public domains. That will be the end of the fest.

I must warn you that the pairings for the rest of the gifts are all similar pairings. I apologise for this; I tried to make it that so that no one character in a pairing appears in two consecutive posted gifts. However, due to problems, I have been stuck with similar pairings so I apologise for the lack of variety in the rest of the posted gifts.

Now in posting of the anonymous master list, does other fest mods post it on the same day as the final gift or do they do it a day later? Which do you prefer?

In relation to the entry about voting for best gift, despite there being a 50/50 divide, I have decided NOT to go along with the idea. If it had been a prompt challenge or a fest involving just one pairing (like Remus/Tonks with rt_challenge), then yeah maybe I would have but there is a huge assortment of pairings here and it would be unfair to say that one pairing is better than the other because everyone has their own personal favourite pairing.

I am still awaiting the 2 gifts but one artist has promised me one in within the next 24 hours. When that comes in, the rest of the fest can run smoothly up until the last gift (which is scheduled to be posting by next week). I will post one more gift today and if the gift hasn’t come to me as promised, I may have to out off posting a gift tomorrow.

I was looking at my assignment list and decided it was time to make another update. At the moment, there are technically 10 assignments to be posted. However, out of those 10:

2 are still outstanding (in which 1 is definitely on its way and I’m still awaiting on 1 to contact me)

Due to the situation, I am sorted for posting gifts until Friday (if I post a gift today). Also, if I still don’t receive any contact from one user will be cut down to 9. This is just a warning that over the next week, I may have to skip posting a gift one or maybe twice and I may not post one tonight so if you don’t see a gift, you know why.

Also, one user seems to have problems viewing the art. I need to know if anyone else is having the same problem. I just want to know if this is an isolated problem or not.

Finally, I had an idea on whether it might be an interesting to let users to vote for their favourite gifts and in the end, the fic with the most votes will be seen as the Best Fic and the art with the most votes will be seen as the Best Art.
