hp_spring_fling you must be at least 18 years old, you must be a registered lj user and you must have an age statement in your user info. Otherwise your membership won't be approved. If you are under the age of 18, you may still participate and/or watch the community. Only the fic entries rated NC-17 will be f-locked. (If you are under the age of 18 you are also not allowed to create or receive a gift rated inappropriately for your age.)
* This is a fic exchange. Participating means you have to write a gift in order to receive one.
* This is a secret exchange, which means that all gifts will be posted anonymously. You're asked not to post your fic elsewhere and not to make public which gift you created and for whom until the end of the exchange when all the authors are revealed. After that you are free to post your fic everywhere you like.
* The gift you create should also have no connection to your previous works. Sequels to another story, a new chapter to an ongoing fic and additional scenes to other works are not acceptable entries for this exchange.
* Please be so kind and leave a review once you have received your gift. Somebody has put a lot of work into it, and they will want to hear whether you liked it or not.
* I know that real life has the tendency to get in the way, so if your grandmother dies, your dog runs away, your computer catches on fire and your child robs the local liquor store, forcing you to take on a second job in order to afford the lawyer, I understand that you do not have the time to complete your assignment. However, please let me know asap, so I have the chance to find a pinch-hitter. I cannot stress enough how important this is. Someone is waiting for that fic you were supposed to write. Please don't disappoint me and them by just dropping out without letting me know.
*All entries should be 1,000 words minimum. There is no maximum regarding the length of the fic.
* All entries need to include proper formatting and html codes.
* Your entries need to be completed. WIPs are not acceptable.
* When writing the fic, please keep in mind that you are writing it for someone else. Stay as close to your assignment as possible. This doesn't mean that you have to include every single one of the requests, but try your best to capture the essence of what your assignment asks of you.
* You need to spell-check the gifts you create and have a beta look them over before turning them in. If I find that there is an unacceptable amount of mistakes in your gift, I will ask you to edit your fic before posting it.
* All ratings are acceptable, although posts rated NC-17 will be f-locked. However, if your fic does contain explicit sexual content, your characters need to be at least 16 years or older. Sex between minors and adults is not allowed under any circumstances.
* Gen-fics, slash, femslash and threesomes are also allowed, if that's what the assignment asks for.
