It was little things at first, easy to ignore, escalating to bigger attacks, bigger crimes, and of course, retaliation. Now the country is about ready to tear itself apart as the Ministry steps up their attempts to defeat Voldemort and no one is really sure who they should trust, if they should trust anyone at all. Who can you turn to when your own government is as likely to kill you as the masked criminals roaming the streets? Even the muggles are starting to notice. Attacks in muggle places are becoming more frequent, the Death Eaters getting more bold. And everyone is asking the same question. How long before it's open war? The First War is a Post-Warts, MWPP era RPG. We are canon through November 1st, 1978 and then we diverge, allowing the characters to tell their own stories. Of course you won't ever see the Prison Warden or Psychologist, at least not physically. Abducted from your home and transported to Glaxcin Prison without warning or any kind of trial, the entire structure is fully automated--meals are prepared, cells are cleaned, sheets are changed--every function operated by an invisible source or force from outside the prison complex. This, of course, is for yours and the Warden's own protection. We wouldn't want to see anyone getting hurt now would we...? Of course the Warden will hear your requests for personal items such as clothing or jewelry, but any requests for contraband will be strictly denied. Please remember this is for your own safety and personal growth. We are here to help turn your life around from a world of crime. To make sure you become the best you can be, a structured civilized citizen. But first you have to admit and come to terms with your criminal past and failings. You are all criminals. Plus 28 Days - Post DH HP RPG [17 Dec 2009|03:01pm] plus28days On October 31st, 1999, a group of eco-terrorists released a biological weapon at every major airport in the world. 48 hours later, the true nature of the weapon became clear. The infected became violent, infecting others through bites and scratches. 50 hours after the first contagion was released, governments across the globe initiated states of emergency. Sites were designated as shelters with troops and Aurors sent to protect those sites at all costs. Radio broadcasts gave the locations of the Ministry of Magic and Buckingham Palace as 'safe spots' but they were really processing centers screening out the infected and sending the uninfected via the Floo network to hidden shelters. Those lucky enough to find shelter must now wait it out – the 28 long days for the infected to starve to death or kill each other in their madness. Then they will have the unenviable task of rebuilding society and the world. Plus 28 Days is a Post DH HP-based RPG began on October 31st, 2009. We have a small, friendly, active core cast. Life has returned to normal...except in the Ministry. No one ever really knows what goes on in the Department of Mysteries. There are all kinds of projects and studies that go on down there that no one ever finds out about. But sometimes a project just gets too big to contain. THE UNSPEAKABLES wanted to find out where magic came from. They wanted to know genetically what made a witch and wizard different from a muggle. It started out innocently enough - a few tests here, a couple volunteers there. It was contained. Until they discovered chromosome 13. CHROMOSOME 13. Research shows it contains the genetic makeup that enables magic abilities. Driven by frustration and anger, illegal experiments have taken place by some underground magicians. Squibs here and there have fallen to their experiments, fed the promise that they could eventually wield a wand. It was nothing alarming. Nothing dangerous. Until now. Hogwarts students remain in the walls of Hogwarts as the world falls down around them. Parents go missing. Siblings return with no memories. And others never come back. All to return the magic power from Muggleborns to the rightful Squibs; to take from the selfish Metamorphmagi their genetic gifts to share with the world; to make sure that only pure-blooded witches and wizards have any kind of magical powers. They believe that only purity will sustain their world. When the experiments are done, everyone will be in their rightful place. And the only question left is... who is next? Tuesday January 19th 2010 The Ministry of magic announced last night the dissolvement of all Quidditch Teams in Britain and Ireland, after the Broom Tampering Scandal.Today, Ernest Chump, head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports, announced that starting soon will be a new league of Quidditch which they have decided to name Quidditch XL. Mr Chump said of the new league 'We are engineering a place where all the mishaps of the former Quidditch league are not a problem.' The Ministry of Magic is offering Three Hundred Thousand Galleons to each person who approaches them to set up a team. And the teams have already started to arrive. Adrian King, ex manager of Tutshill Tornados recently formed the Bristol Bears. Of his decision to start a new team, King said 'There are still Players out there, over two hudred of them. They need somewhere to play. Quidditch is their life, it would seem unfair to deny them what they live on.' Though the move has been praised by several Quidditch journalists, ex Appleby Arrow's Chaser, Dirk Aveckwell said that the QXL existed 'solely to destroy the game many of us have grown up loving.' The verdict, is still out though on whether this was a foolhardy move or not. The only thing that is known is that there are over two hundred Quidditch Players, who are currently out of work. Most of us have always wanted to play Quidditch at one point. Admit it, you did. QXL is somwhere, where you can play Quidditch, but on an another level.
