She speaks and presses lips with an air of consistency, breathes and refrains from breathing with a gleam of predatory rebellion, sleeps and represses sleep with a lacquered flash of divinity. He is the same.

When she arches, her breath hitches so fast that it hurts her, and her eyes claw into her lover’s while she shouts her own name hoarsely to the night. He is the same.

When she moans, there’s a savage edge to it that only they know of, and nails flash into the night in the red before it touches skin. He is the same.

When she fights, it has the seeming of savage slicing with a wand, and a lady who knows when strength belies, is never the fool in reckless condescend. He is the same.

When she sleeps, her eyes are motionless voyeurs to her veiled fate, legs imprisoners of what she doesn’t wish to release. He is the same.

When she dies, it is as if jade has been lost in a sea of moss, and her imperium is but a shade of glory to remember, but never feel. He is still the same.

I'm sure many of you saw the announcement on underlucius' journal regarding her decision to leave fandom and the imminent closing of hp_literotica, but we wanted to make certain the information got passed along here as well. underlucius explains her reasons in that post, and I won't repeat them here, but I will say that the decision to close the community was made jointly by all the mods, and was arrived at independently of UnderLucius' choice to focus on her original work.

And so we come to an end. On Harry's birthday, the final entry in our current dialogue challenge will be posted and the curtain will come down. The community will not be deleted, but will stand as a witness that literary writing has a place anywhere, and as a testament to what we've created here together.

If you have fic to post, whether in response to the current challenge or not, now is the time. We'd love to see the community end with a bang, but regardless, thank you for writing and reading and commenting and making our corner of the fandom a more beautiful place. It's been a hell of a ride, and I, for one, can say that my association with this community has been the finest part of my fandom life.

I can't close without thanking underlucius for creating this community and carrying it on her back for so long. hp_literotica existed and thrived for so long because of her passion for good writing, and we're all the better for it.

Just in case you are wondering, you can do this in any way you want - do it as a dialogue only fic - or even (if you want to add detail) as a screen play, adding stage directions etc etc.

Write a dialogue only piece including two characters who wouldn't normally get together.  E.g. Hagrid & Peter, Draco & Sirius, Ron & Scrimgeour.

You don't have to make it plausible why they are together, just imagine (perhaps) that they are both waiting to be interviewed post war, and are closeted together in a small room before their interviews.  But any scene will do.

Short as you like - long as you like.  Make it any rating (up to R) you like, writing dialogue only smut is a challenge...

Runs till 31st July, it's a good writing exercise, dialogue is good for you!

I've not posted anything here for a very, very long time, mainly because I haven't finished anything in a long time, and I wanted to rectify that. This piece is almost a year old now, written fairly soon after I became actively involved in fandom, but for some reason I never put it here. I've got a soft spot in my heart for it, even though I know there are some mistakes, and I've just left it as it was.
