Introduction

Welcome to hp_lims, a Last Icon Maker Standing competition for Harry Potter. We will have a series of challenges based on the Harry Potter series to help us determine the best icon maker, or the Last Icon Maker Standing. Anyone is invited to participate, regardless of skill level. Please read the following rules.

Rules

• I would suggest joining the community, and friending it as well. That will make it easier to remember when challenges start and end.

• After you've done that you need to SIGN-UP. You can sign up until the voting for the first challenge goes up, which will hopefully be June13th! When signing up you MUST put "enough nerve" somewhere in your comment.

• The specific rules will be posted with each challenge. Each icon has to follow the obvious standards: no more than 100x100 in size, and no more than 40 kbs. All entries must be posted as a reply to the challenge post (comments will be screened) and they cannot be from any previous batches. They must be NEW.

• Each week, a cap is presented, usually as well as a prompt. All participants still in the running will submit an icon of that cap and must also follow the prompt. You must enter each challenge until you are voted out, or you will be automatically disqualified (BUT you can skip 1 round, read the following rule).

• You are allowed up to 2 skip chances, one automatically for joining and one if you promote. When the next round starts, I will provide a link to the Bye Post that you will have to show me your promotion at.

• Every Thursday, we will post that week's icons and voting will start. Please do NOT vote for your own icons! That defeats the purpose of this competition. You can, however, vote positively or negatively for any icons except your own.

• Every Friday, the winner for that week, the mod's choice, and the icon makers disqualified will be posted, as well as the next challenge.

• Be able to handle possibly negative things about your icons. It's nothing personal, as all entries are anonymous. If you can't take being voted out, then this isn't the community for you.

Friday: New challenge. Voting ends; winners and disqualified icons are posted along with tallies and results.
Sometime during the week: Reminder is posted, along with missing entries.
Tuesday: Reminders are sent to individual people whose icons I have not yet received.
Wednesday at Midnight: Deadline for all entries, unless a skip is used
Thursday: Voting is posted
