| Convict Theater Vid Show at Azkatraz |

OK guys let's make sure we get some slash in this...
Attention Harry Potter Vidders!
This year Azkatraz will be hosting the Convict Theater Vid Show, a special event featuring vidders in the Harry Potter fandom. The show will be presented twice during the convention: once Sunday during breakfast and again Monday afternoon at ZEUM in the theater. Submissions for the show are due July 1, 2009 and must comply with the rules set forth below.
Rules for the Convict Theater
1. Vids must be Harry Potter themed
2. Vids must be 1-6 minutes in length
3. Encoded using a codec in the Combined Community Codec Pack
4. Resolution must be 720 X 480
5. Encoded at 5500-6500 kpbs bitrate
6. Vids shown on Monday must be R-rated or under, but the vids with ratings above PG-15 will not be shown during breakfast on Sunday
How to Submit a Vid
Please email submissions to vids@hp2009.org including...
1. Your vidder name
2. Vid title
3. Vid rating
4. A link to your vid using MegaUpload, SendSpace or another similar service
5. Any other comments or clarifications about your vid
Please note that you do not have to attend the conference to submit a vid. Your vid does also not have to be "new" or specially made for the conference. As long as it's Harry Potter, we wanna see it! |

To replace the Right Side vidding archive (which closed down a few months ago due to an overwhelming number of entries per day and an increasing number of inactive links resulting from Youtube's copyright attacks), we now have a competitive new award site.
BASIC INFO
Rounds take place 3 times a year
Standards are high so please submit your very best work
All films/TV series are welcome (fandom diversity is very much encouraged)
Any and all visual and thematic content is acceptable (sex, violence, etc.)
There are categories available for many different styles of and approaches to vidding

Hey! I'm a bit nervous about posting to this community, since this is my first video as well as my coming out in the HP community post. But I was inspired by all your awesome videos.
I'm not sure how to embed videos yet. This is basically a Snape/Harry slash video where Snape becomes obsessed with, and starts stalking Harry. I made a second one to the song 'Control' that got deleted from Youtube literally ten minutes after I posted it for copywright violations or something. I have no idea.

Summary: I have been waiting to use this song for a long time and it had to be Snarry. After the heartbreak that was Lily Evans, who other than Harry Potter could possibly make Snape love again? In addition, I really like using Michelle Trachtenberg with red hair as Lily and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Severus from Mysterious Skin. Even though the characters so do not have a romantic relationship in the movie, they just fit. Joseph’s character even has a mother like Eileen. Expect to see them again.

| StarRose's Harry Potter videos are back on YouTube |

As some of you may know YouTube banned me for copyright on my Kyou Kara Maou (anime) videos back in April, incidentally deleting all my Harry Potter videos too. They banned not only my email address but my IP address to, so i couldn't get another youtube account unless i got a new computer. Well as it happens, I did get a new one. HA! So I'm now re-uploading all 34 of my videos back on a new youtube account found here. Please be patient while I get them all up again. For those who don't know my videos I do Harry/Draco, Ron/Harry, Snape/Harry, Cedric/Harry, various threesomes and general slashy goodness, as well as a few non-slash ones.
For those who DO know my videos, I will not be making any more until the 6th film comes out on DVD.

Title: Harry/Sirius - In The Arms Of An Angel.
Creator: Katie Louise Garner.
Fandom: Harry Potter.
Pairing: Harry/Sirius, but it doesn't have to be slash if you don't want it to be, it works both ways.
Music: Arms Of An Angel - Sarah McLaughlin.
Warnings: Spoilers if you haven't seen HP5 and slash if you squint.
Summary: Again there is no plot in this one just angsty!Harry thinking back on the memory of Sirius to some really sad and delicate music by Sarah McLaughlin. It follows the typical pattern with the sepia video portraying Harry's memories and the colour video being the present. I think it works quite well, but you'll have to let me know what you think. :)
Disclaimer: Song belongs to Sarah McLaughlin, clips to WB, characters & storyline to JKR.
Other: I don't know whether I intended this to necessarily be slash or just the memory of Sirius to Harry as a friend and godfather. Nevertheless it can be perceived as slash, for example I purposely didn't show the picture of the OOTP in the train station so that what Sirius gives Harry can be left to the imagination of the individual. I do appreciate feedback so I'd love some comments and stuff. Constructive criticism is good! Summary: I’ve been wanting to make a Snupin vid for some time now and this one finally came to fruition. This is a vignette about a possible short relationship between two dark creatures. When Professor Lupin comes to Hogwarts, Snape is initially disgusted; however his boyhood obsession with his peer was not as simple as a fascination with werewolves. Severus has always harbored a little bit of lust for the one Marauder who did not actively make his life miserable. Remus turns to Severus for help with his lycanthropy and the two fall for one another. However Snape is never quite comfortable though because…well, he’s Snape. When the events of HBP unfold, the relationship becomes even more stressed. It’s angsty because we all know that Snape can’t let go of a grudge.
Warning: I don’t read any Snupin other than pervy oneshots so the quality may not be very high to the Snupin connoisseur
