Sirius is fire; impulsive, explosive and often prone to destruction. Remus is air, his studious, quite nature almost lost among the rest, but fire will not burn brightly without air . James is earth: An unexpected bedrock of practicality in his exceptional yet normal self. Peter is water: a nervous mass of emotion that will eventually destroy fire.

In the end Sirius almost burns away before being snuffed out and James is returned to the earth. Remus rattles and whistles around the world without purpose while Peter’s soul slowly drains away. The two remaining lost without earth and fire for balance.

Remus lays in bed at night and contemplates “remember when.” He muses that it is a game best played in front of the fireplace with plenty of alcohol, yet can be played anywhere as long as good friends are present. Each turn begins with one person bringing up a particularly memorable event and then everyone else in the group adding observations about said event until it has been thoroughly discussed and dissected and then the another person will start the process over. Death, betrayal and evil have made it so he will never be able to play this game again.
