House: Hufflepuff
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Arthur Weasley, Lucius Malfoy (mentions of Draco Malfoy and Ron Weasley)
Author's Notes: Takes place year 5

"Morning Lucius." Arthur spits out passing his superior, head held high and smug as ever.

"Weasley, Draco tells me there was some sort of insistent with one of your children, something about making a fool of himself during a quidditch match? I trust he's ok?" It took all of Arthur's resistant not to knock him off balance like muggles do with kung-fu or was ir fung-ku?

"He's a Weasley of course he's ok."

"So naive Arthur. Being a Weasley will only assists in his downfall, all of yours.”

“That's what you think Malfoy.” Arthur said to his back.

Character: That much should be obvious ;)
Warnings / Spoilers: none

Author's notes: I'm sure I've met this guy.

“So we all have these then?”
“Yes sir.”
“Right. And these are my…ships?”
“Yes sir. Those are your chips”
“Right. Where are yours?”
The girl smiled and pointed to the locked perspex box.
“They’re right there sir” Her eyes flicked from the table. The pit boss nodded discreetly.
“Place bets please”
“Final bets please.”
“Betting ends.”
She moved to dolly number. “Thirty-five black, blue wins pony on the number and two on the spli…”
“SNAP!” the man shouted gleefully, smashing a coloured chip down on the teetering stack.

Not long afterwards, Arthur decided against dabbling in muggle gaming ever again.

Irrational Fears/Geniuses
Title: Irrational Fears
Character[s]: Hermione Granger
Rating: [G]
Challenge: Magical Items and Devices
House: Hufflepuff
Word Count: 100 by Semagic
Author's Notes: This one was fun to write. I've always thought that this is the one area in which Miss Granger does not excel. And when I was growing up, it was a commonplace phenomenon that parts of the movie Fantasia scared children and gave them nightmares. So I thought I'd combine the two.

Hermione would rather die than admit it: phobias were, after all, irrational fears. When she was small, her thirsty mind demanded constant input, and her parents obliged.

She'd had nightmares of animate brooms for weeks after seeing The Sorceror's Apprentice.. Magical brooms on which one could fly brought it all back with horrible clarity. Being in the sky with nothing between her and a fall like Neville's -- or worse -- simply cemented the terror.

She could watch Quidditch out of affection for Ron and Harry. Usually. But Hermione much preferred her feet on the ground and her bum off a broom.

Title: Geniuses
Character[s]: Arthur, Fred, and George Weasley
Rating: [G]
Challenge: Magical Items and Devices
House: Hufflepuff
Word Count: 100 by semagic
Author's Notes: Love Those Weasleys

"So many people hate the fat old toad."

"Then it's decided." Fred grinned.

They raised their wands.

The gift box got past Ministry screening because the Weasley twins were geniuses. They'd done their research as well; Dolores adored truffles. The box was emptied in a twinkling.

Arthur, on hearing that she seemed to have developed the unusual talent of farting and belching 'God Save The Queen', first fought laughter, then reminded the frantic secretary that was no longer his department.

Arthur thought he recognized the footprint on the chocolates. But the Ministry wasn't having much luck proving it was them.

Character[s]: Bill Wealey, Arthur Weasley, Molly Weasley, Percy Weasley
Rating: [G]
Challenge: What's In A Name @ [info]hp100
House: Slythering
Word Count: 100 by Corel Word Perfect
Author's Notes: yay for weasleys!

"You chose Ginevra for my little sister?!" Ten year old Bill crossed his arms at his parents. "That's a stupid name!"

"Well, it's not quite your decision, Bill," Arthur started.

"I know she wouldn't want a stupid name."

"Bill, watch your tongue," Molly scolded.

"I'm not gonna call her that."

"Bill," Molly warned.

Five year old Percy peeked into the kitchen. "Bill's in trouble," he sang.

"Ignatius," Bill retorted, then glanced at his parents. "That's a stupid name, too. She doesn't wanna be like Percy."

Arthur sighed. "She needs a name."

The boy thought, then grinned. "I'll call her Ginny."

She Makes My Day
Title: She Makes My Day
Character[s]: Arthur Weasley, Molly Prewett
Rating: Very, very G
Challenge: Songfics
House: Hufflepuff
Word Count: 100
Author's Notes: Parts in italics are lyrics from "She Makes My Day" by Robert Palmer...because I haven't written a "Love Those Weasleys!" drabble in a while, and because I am a huge, immense hopeless romantic. Amo adura translates roughly as Latin for "love set afire". I figure the twins picked up their skill with fire and flames somewhere, neh?

I feel so lucky loving her.

Arthur knew it was love. It could be nothing else. The flames of her hair stole his breath. The sparkle of her eyes made him lightheaded. If love was a flame, he'd willingly burn.

I'll never be lonely now I know her. She fills my heart with joy. She makes my day. She just has to smile to blow my cares away. She just has to touch my hand to make me stay.

He wished he could tell her. And then it occurred to him -- he could.

He raised his wand and shouted, "AMO ADURA!"

The blazing heart lit the sky over Hogwarts until midnight.

Molly was the envy of the girls for weeks.

Molly, Dear
Title: Molly, Dear
House: Hufflepuff
Challenge: Critical
Characters: Arthur and Molly Weasley
Rating: G

"Molly, dear," Arthur began tentatively, "D'you think that you might be a bit too harsh on those boys?"

Molly glanced up, surprised. "Why?"

"Well, de-gnoming the garden is an awful lot of work and—”

“It’s good for them,” she stated firmly. “Who knows what mischief they’d get into otherwise?”

Arthur remembered the conversation years later when he received a letter detailing his twin sons’ latest exploits.

He skimmed the note, catching phrases like “left the school,” “Peeves running amok,” “Weasley’s Wizarding Wheezes,” and “absolute chaos.”

“Molly?” he called. “Remember how I said you were too hard on those boys?”

Mortal Peril
Title: Mortal Peril
Challenge: Constant Vigilance
House: Hufflepuff
Word Count: 100.
Rating: G
Characters/Pairings: Ginny and Mrs. Weasley

Mr. Weasley hadn’t come home.

“I’m sure he’s fine,” said Mrs. Weasley.

“Mhm,” said Ginny, knowing that this was true, even though a part of her felt awful, achy, and constricted, like she was very cold, as she watched for the hand on the clock to swipe to “traveling.”

“If you’re tired,” said her mother, “you can go to bed. I can stay up and wait.”

“It’s fine,” she said, sounding much more snappish than usual.

The clock on the wall said 12:30 and the whole Weasley family was waiting in Mortal Peril, according to the one on the counter.

Title: Wayward Son, Prodigal Son
Character[s]: Those Lovable Weasleys
Rating: PG for The Creepiness
Challenge: Dark Mark
House: Hufflepuff
Word Count: The Standard 100
Author's Notes: I said it. One Weasley I don't love. Slight edit because I got something backward.

The house was brimming over with brittle silence.

Molly's eyes shone with tears, but she bit her lip and hugged Percy.

Arthur was stonefaced; his sons glowered.

Ginny elbowed George. The twins' eyes widened. "Bloody hell!"

Percy's shaking hands, as they reached for his wand, were spelling "danger" and "run" in a sign-language the Weasley children had invented in childhood.

Molly's hand flew to her mouth. Tears flowed down Percy's face. He was losing his struggle. The wand slowly raised above his head.

Percy signed I-M--and tried to lower his arm.

They apparated seconds before Percy conjured the Mark.
