After signing a record deal with Capitol Records, she pursued a successful solo career. Her solo debut album, LeToya (2006), topped the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart in July 2006 and was certified platinum by the RIAA in December 2006. The single, "Torn", achieved records on BET's top ten countdown show 106 & Park. She was also named "One of the Best New Artists of 2006" by AOL and the "Top Songwriter of 2006" by ASCAP. Luckett plans to release a second album in 2008.

After departing from Destiny’s Child, Farrah forged ahead with a solo career—focusing on her music career. She signed to Fo-reel Entertainment in 2002, where she recorded a song entitled "Get At Me" with Method Man, but later was dropped. She was then sign to the Fabolous Street Label. After being dropped, Farrah then started working heavily on acting. She starred in The Brewster Project. She later won a Best Supporting Actress award from the Independent Film Awards for her work in the film. Recently, Farrah has finished shooting an independent thriller film called Eyes of Darkness, which also features rapper Jayo Felony.
Michelle Williams (member from 2000-2005/end)

In 2002, after a series of commercial successes with the group, Williams released her debut solo album Heart to Yours, which became the biggest-selling gospel album of the year and spawned the single "Heard a Word." The album was followed by Do You Know in early 2004.
As well as having become a successful singer, Williams has also found success as a television and Broadway actress, yet she continues to return to the music. She is due to release her first commercial R&B album, Unexpected, on August 12, 2008; the lead single from the album, "We Break the Dawn", is currently at #1 on the Billboard Dance Charts.

Following the formal disbandment of Destiny's Child in 2005, Rowland's often-delayed second album, Ms. Kelly was released in 2007. The album has since spawned the international number-one single "Work" and received both a digital and physical re-release in 2008.
