| What's In A Name? |
| When I was deciding on a name for this journal, I headed over to trusty old Merriam-Webster Online. First I looked up iconoclast, and decided I didn't want to have a journal named after a word having to do with destroying religious imagery, as I happen to like a lot of religious art, lol. So then I looked up plain "icon" and it listed "iconic" at the bottom as a related adjective. Irony is one of my favorite things ever, and "iconic" is just one letter away from "ironic," so in my mind, "how_iconic" sounded like a great name, because of the aural similarity. Plus, it follows that things you'd make icons of are by definition iconic, so...it all just seemed to fit. Maybe it's just me, but I hope y'all like it anyway *wink* |
