AboutThis community is created for knitters in Houston to meet online, swap patterns, discuss stitchery and ideas, etc. It's intended for anyone from novice to expert. No flaming will be tolerated.
A small group of knitters calling itself the COCK (Coffee Oasis Crochet and Knit) Club and ranging in age from 15 to 50 meets every Monday night starting between 6:30 and 7:00 PM and lasting until the venue boots us. The venue is the Coffee Oasis at the intersection of Clear Lake City Boulevard and El Camino Real. Some of us are also members of the Knit at Night Guild, which meets the second Tuesday of every month on the west side of town. Links for more information will be made available as I get it. In the meantime, feel free to e-mail me, mslilly at livejournal dot com, for more detailed information.
Not everyone from Knit at Night and the COCK are Livejournal users; this information is made available for Houstoners who are looking for people to knit with.
Finally, this community is open to everyone regardless of whether you're from Houston, but I might change that later (can't imagine why, but I'm reserving the right). Overall though, the idea is to help Houston knitters find each other.
