bail_lovers, which was run by

amberleewriter, and was the only community on LiveJournal for fans of Bail Organa. In March of 2008, Amberlee decided to leave LiveJournal, taking her community with her. The same day,
sithspider decided to act fast and create a new place for Bail fans to congregate. It was then that
houseoforgana was born.
This is not meant to be a copycat community; I will not try to steal anything that
amberleewriter or anyone else has done. But I do hope everyone who was a member of her community will eventually find their way here.
Bail Organa is one of the most important characters in Star Wars, and is given far less appreciation than he deserves. When you think about it, he
saved the entire galaxy. This community and its members are doing their best to repay him by making him the star of fan fiction, artwork, videos, LJ icons and other creations, or simply the star of our conversation.
Though this is primarily a Bail community, one of the reasons I titled it "House of Organa" is because I feel that Bail's wife,
Breha Organa, is another character who should be expanded upon more. Therefore, posts about Breha are perfectly welcomed here too, including her relationship with Bail, or just about Breha herself. She is his better half, after all.
Rules:
1. Communities have topics for a reason, and that means that all posts must be on-topic. Slight exceptions can be made under certain circumstances. All else will be deleted.
2. Although I realize that Bail's daughter, Leia, is also an Organa, this is not a Leia community and I would prefer posts about Leia be kept out. Posts involving Leia are acceptable if they also involve Bail and/or Breha, but Leia-centric posts belong elsewhere. There are plenty of communities on LJ for Leia fans.
3. This is also not a Jimmy Smits community. Please keep posts about the actor to a minimum. Posts about Jimmy are acceptable if they are about his participation in Star Wars, but other than that, they belong elsewhere. I list both Jimmy Smits and Princess Leia in the interests list, as well as the majority of the interests listed, simply to help people find the community.
4. This community's content setting is "no adult content" by default, but I realize that Bail is a character who undeniably attracts a fanbase interested in adult content, particularly in fan fiction such as slash pairings. I will not restrict people from making these sort of posts, but of course you must post them responsibly, using warnings and content settings for individual entries. Instructions follow:
4a. When posting fiction, art, or anything else that depicts nudity, sexual acts or anything too mature for minors, use the "adult content" setting that is featured on each individual entry to indicate the proper level of maturity. This setting can be found at the bottom of your entry form, directly under the comment settings and across from the music field. This setting will have no effect on logged-in members whose birthdates are set to show that they are of a certain age, but those who are not logged in will be shown an LJ-cut warning of adult content and will be required to confirm their age upon clicking the link. When set to "Adult Concepts," a minimum age of 14 is required. For "Explicit Adult Content," 18 is the required age.
4b. Because the setting described above will have no effect on logged-in members who are of age, please be courteous and also post a warning in the entry itself, that can be seen by all members. Just because a member is old enough to view it doesn't mean that they want to, and they should also be warned before they get an unpleasant surprise. Also, please include a rating for original works (PG-13, R, etc.) and let us know the reason behind the rating.
5. Images larger in width than approximately 500 pixels should be put behind an LJ-cut. This is in order to preserve the table layout of the community and of the members' friends pages. Fan fiction and the like should also be placed behind a cut.
6. Usually I am pretty lenient about community promotion, but this isn't a place where many communities will fit the on-topic rule. I won't delete promotions for communities that are related to Bail in some way, but I realize there won't be many of these. Everything else doesn't really belong here. Please go to starwarspromo (another community I run) to post any Star Wars-related promotion.
7. The most important rule in any community: be kind to each other, or at the least, civil. Don't start flame wars, don't criticize (unless it is constructive and authorized by the poster), and if someone is to violate these rules, defend yourself in a civilized way and alert the moderator.

I created this community because I wanted to make sure that it got started and get it off to a good start. I wasn't planning on taking on another Star Wars community, as I already run two and had plans for a third.
